Get your own Free Home PageIn the depth of space two ships fought a battle, one a human merchant_man the other Squat pirates. After disabling the engines the pirates closed and boarded the merchant_man, after bloody hand to hand fighting the pirates where defeated and prisoners rounded up.
The pirates Hard, Violent squats, now knew the meaning of fear, as each in turn was kissed and infected by Genestealers, in time Squat hybrids were ‘born’.
By now the Imperium had dealt with an uprising on the home world of the merchant_man, and had issued messages that such a ship was to be stopped and destroyed if necessary.
Eventually the Squat ship made several planet falls before disappearing in space perhaps returning to the Squat homeworlds. On each planet fall some members of the crew left the ship both human and squat and new members take aboard.
Now nearly 400 years later planet Surcell in the Segmentum Tempestusis is about to erupt in revolution and civil war as the Genestealer cult takes over. During this time the squats have stayed hidden helping the cult, only one of the original squats is still alive, acting as an advisor to the Magus, but is unlikely to take part in any fighting
Surcell is a planet that is mostly agricultural with is main harvest the seeds of a small flower which is sent off planet to be processed into drugs. Because of the difficulties in cultivating the flower, most are harvested from wild flowers, and little investment has taken place therefore most transport in by horse, this the guard unit stationed on planet not having many vehicles.
The uprising was a success and life continued with the Patriach in charge, but something must of informed the imperium because now they want the planet back...
