I have written the following editorial in hope of denouncing Jonathan Swift's sadistic and proposterous "modest" proposal. I urge all readers to think throuhg the consequences before endorsing this proposal. Below, I have enumerated just a few of the major flaws in Mr. Swift's plan. One of the most obvious of the many flaws is the cruel and inhumane aspect of the plan. Not only is he proposing that we resort to cannabalism simply to dispose of some of the poor and create food, but he is also suggesting that we turn the whole thing into a nationwide industry. He also suggests that we kill innocent, young, defenseless children as opposed to disposing of older men and wonmen who have had more time to enjoy life. Another major flaw in this proposal is that we as a nation would lose face on the International scene if we began to engage in such primitive acts. Most likely, all foreign nations would be lowered to the class of a mere wild, barbaric country. Judging by these reasons and the countless others, I believe Swift's plan would be a complete mistake for our country and I implore you not to accept it.
