Hi. Welcome to my Leftovers ][ Proposal Page. For those of you who played it, Leftovers was a one-shot anthology type ZZT game by Unga Khan creator Dynamo01, now known as RbdWombat on AOL. It was discontinued because those were the pre-newbie-dark-post-post-apocalyptic days, and no one was making any games.
Basically, here's what I want to do. I want to compile the never released Leftovers ][: Electric Bugaloo, for MZX.
Basically, here's what I want you to do. I want you to send in either:
A) At least one board (no more than 3 boards) of a game you are making, or have stopped making, but still have in your directory,
B) The entire finished/unfinished game, unlocked (duh), and the boards you want me to export / import into L][:EB,
along with the author (whatever name you wish to be known as), company (or no company, if you're cool like me), name of the game, and a short description of the game, (i.e. genre, special controls, a little plot, what the board is about, etc).
This is NOT a CONTEST. This is simply an exhibition of your creative talents to others of your profession (i.e. making games from kewl game creation programs ;)).
What's in it for you?
Simple. Publicity for you. Publicity for your company. A preview of your unfinished game, without having to take time out to make a demo for it. A chance for people to recognize the cool programming trick you did in a game that will never be released.
What's in it for me (barney9651)?
Getting to see your cool games. The warm feeling you get for a job well done. Or whatever. :P
Interested, but don't have a game/board to send in?
Make a board.
Make some music files for the title screen, screens w/o music.
Send me some e-mail, showing your interest.
E-mail a friend who's making a game and hasn't heard of this yet.
Criteria
Without rules, this whole thing would collapse. Some more things I'll need to set:
Rule I've already stated:
No more than 3 boards per one game being made
that means that you can send in 1boards from your game, Fuzzy Wuzzy
Meets The Magical Elves, and 2 boards from your game BLOOD!,
and 2 boards from your other game, Spelling with MegaZeux,
and 3 boards from your game, Blue Suckaroo. However.
I can choose to ignore some, if you send me, like, 50 boards or something.
Do not send me 49 boards of a game as a joke, please. Or
48 boards. Or 47 boards. Etc.
More rules:
If your game is finished, it cannot have been released yet.
If your game is unfinsiehd, a demo can have been released.
Your game must be playable. No Sivion previews, understand?
In an effort to make this an ongoing series, I will stop accepting
entries when I decide there is enough. That means remaining
entries will be kept for the next publication, unless you e-mail me saying
not to.
I reserve the right to reject any sucky or newbie-ish
entries.
And, that's about it.
So... start submitting stuff!
E-mail them to me here
