Welcome to the about page for the MUD Age of Legend: Tales of the Lance. This will tell a little bit about us and our history. Formerly known as Legends of the Lance, we changed our name after finding out that there was a magazine out by the same name. Not wanting to have people think we were copying a name for popularity, we changed it to it's current form. We have been around since 1995, though we have also been through two codes that have self-destructed. However, we are confident that with our current coders we will be a great mud. We are currently in the Alpha stage of our code base, though we are trying to move to Beta as rapidly as possible. However, we will not move into Beta until the code is as stable as possible, and we have a few more options changed in the code. We are a role playing mud and do enforce that with penalties and bonuses if you do role play. We are based in the Dragonlance saga in the pre-cataclysm time a few years after Huma defeated the Dark Queen and the Knights of Solamnia begin their rise to power.
