RPG'S RULE!!!!!!!! Anyone who says anything else should be shot in the head, dragged into a dark alley, and hidden under piles and piles of newspapers. But I guess thats a little harsh so if you want you can replace shooting in the head with banging on the head with a baseball bat.
Well anyways, I really love RPG's. I am mostly a GM because I can't stand the way most other GM's run their games. I've found GM's like their players to wander the countryside, fighting random monsters that have nothing to do with anything and generally getting nowhere with any kind of plot. Sorry if that was a run on but when I start writing about stuff like that I can't stop. Anyway, I am a big adventure fan. Almost nothing happens in my games that is not part of some big plot ( I will generally have several different paths for my players to take, I hate having to lead them everywhere, I just give them lots of clues to several places ).
A little note on tavern gaming:
I really really really really really really really hate it when someone is in a tavern, they get in a fight, and they become invincible. If someone says they pick you up and throw you then it happened, you cant say " but I sidestep out of the way". If someone says they swing their sword at you then you choose whether it lops your head off or is blocked by your shield. Also, I hate it when someone deals a killing blow in a fight. Like saying you cleave someone in half. Just say you swing your giant sword at them and then if they are good role-players they will let the sword cleave them in half. Whenever I go into a tavern all I see are gods warring with each other, while here I am content to be a mortal and always getting slaughtered. Now that I've vented a little, here are the RPG sections.
