Getting Started:
As you begin you'll choose names for you and your rival(Gary). Walk around the town and visit Gary's house too(the top right one)be sure to look at the map on the wall. Then head north and go down the road.Oak will stop you and bring you to his lab where you will pick your Pokémon. Before you leave the lab Gary will chalenge you with his Pokémon. If you win you'll get money, and if you lose and your Pokémon faints take it home to your mother. Now go north while wild Pokémon challenge you you can't capture them but they are good practice.

Viridian City:
Viridian City has a PokéCenter,a Pokémart, and a strange empty gym.Go to the Pokémart and speak to the clerk. He will give you a package to give to Professer Oak.When you return to Pallet Town be sure to visit Gary's sister. Give it to him and recieve his Pokédex.Return to Viridian City and buy some Pokéballs and Antidotes. At the PokéCenter or any PokeCenter you can store Pokémon and items on the computer.Get some Pokémon on your way to Viridian Forest make it through the forest.Pikachu lives in the forest too along with others. You are going to Pewter City next.

Pewter City:
There is a musuem,a real gym,a PokéCenter, and a Pokémart. You might want to stop by the museum, it has a good fossil exhibit.Yes here is your first gym and the owner has rock-type Pokémon Geodude Level 12 and Onix Level 14.If you dont know who to battle with on your side look at my Stategies and Maps page or just use Bulbasaur,Squirtle,or Pikachu.Actually if you don't have Bulbasaur or Squirtle you should make Metapod evolve into Butterfree and teach him Confusion. If you beat him you will get a badge that will increase all your Pokémon's attack power and TM Bide. Now go east from the city.As you go through this pathway, eight jr. trainers are there.Spearows are found here.

Mt. Moon:
At the PokéCenter right before the cave that is the entrance to Mt. Moon you can bye a Magikarp.Inside it may be tough to make your way around but its basicly easy. The Pokémon in there are Zubat,Jigglypuff,Clefairy,Paras, and Geodude. Some members of Team Rocket are here. When you exit here its pretty easy on the path and there are Ekans and Sandshrew here along with some old Pokémon you've seen before.Soon you will come to some bushes.

Cerulean City:
Once you come to these bushes, jump over them.Remember that when you do you can't leave until you've defeat the gym leader. In here are a couple houses,a bike shop,a gym,a PokéCenter and a Pokémart.Don't buy the bike yet.The person in one house will trade you his Spectre for a Kung-Foo which you get later. The gym leader here has water-type Pokémon and you should use Pikachu or a grass-type Pokémon.Defeat her to get her badge.
