Panzerkampfwagen VG Panther
Description:
The Panther medium tank is probably one of the best tanks of World War Two, built to take on the Russian T-34 tank in the 1942. It is armed with Kw.K 42 "L70" 7.5 cm main gun and two MG-34 machine guns, the Panther can take on any Allied tank it encounters. The Panther is well designed and has sloped armor so shells will deflect off of it.
Deployment:
Deploy the Panther anywhere were it will encounter enemy armor or infantry. The Panther can take on any Allied tank and has a good chance of winning, with good armor and good firepower the Panther is a fairly deadly tank to even the most heavily defended targets. The Panthers main threats are the 17-pounder anti-tank and main gun of Allied tanks or from the long range flame throwers of the Crocodile.
Advantage:
Fairly good speed, good armor, good firepower make the Panther a good all around tank.
Weakness:
None really except for only medium armor in the rear.
Panzerkampfwagen VIB Konigstiger (King Tiger)
Description:
The King Tiger strikes fear into Allied tank crews with its massive 8.8 cm Kw.K 36 (L71). The King Tiger can stand off at over 4000 yards and still destroy Sherman tanks, armed with 2 - MG-34 machine guns it is probably the most heavily armed tank on the battle field.
Deployment:
Place the King Tiger anywhere because nothing is going to stop it on the first shot! Use the MG-34 machine gun to destroy enemy infantry units.
Advantage:
The King Tiger has great firepower and great armor.
Weakness:
With all of the armor comes weight makes this tank extremely slow!
Panzerkampfwagen VIE Tiger I
Description:
The Tiger I is a heavy tank designed to lay waste to Russian heavy tanks, when turned lose on the western front the Tiger I was almost invulnerable. Armed with a 8.8 cm Kw.K 36 (L 56) main gun and 2 - MG-34 machine guns give the tank good firepower.
Deployment:
Deploy the Tiger I anywhere and let it take out enemy units.
Advantage:
Good armor and firepower makes the Tiger I a good tank.
Weakness:
Slow movement makes it vulnerable when reloading the main gun.
Stumhaubitze 42 (StuH 42)
Description:
The StuH 42 is a self propelled assault gun with a 10.5 cm StuH 42 main gun, along with the main gun the StuH 42 also has a MG-34 machine gun. With a low turretless shape and profile the StuH 42 is a hard target to hit and easy to hide.
Deployment:
Place the StuH 42 were it can help friendly infantry with fire support against heavily defended infantry. The StuH 42 is not designed as an anti-tank weapon and is not very accurate.
Advantage:
Good infantry support with a large main gun and low profile.
Weakness:
Very inaccurate and not a lot of thick armor.
Stug Neur Art Jagdpanzer IV
Description:
The Jagdpanzer IV is a medium tank destroyer armed with a 7.5 cm Pak 39 (L48) high velocity anti-tank gun and an MG-34 machine gun. Use the Jagdpanzer IV to attack almost any target that it sees.
Deployment:
The Jagdpanzer should hide and then ambush enemy tanks or units while not exposing its fairly weak armor to enemy fire.
Advantage:
Good firepower for taking out tanks.
Weakness:
Thin armor makes it vulnerable.
Panzerkampfwagen IVH (Mark IV)
Description:
The Mark IV is a good medium tank armed with a 7.5 cm Kw.K 40 (L43) main gun and two MG-34 machine guns. With medium armor the Mark IV is a match for almost all Allied tanks including the Firefly.
Deployment:
Place the Mark IV where it will have a good field of fire but
will not be vulnerable to more than one tank at a time. Use the machine guns
to destroy enemy infantry, this works best if the infantry is not British
airborne (so they will not have Gammon Bombs) and the tank is within 10 meters
of the target.
Advantage:
Large in number and a good all around capability like that of the Sherman.
Weakness:
Fairly thin armor and not much penetrating power from the main gun.
Sturmeshutz 40G (Stug III)
Description:
Armed with a 7.5 cm Kw.K.40 (L43) main gun the same as the Mark IV tank and a MG-34 machine gun, the Stug III packs a powerful punch. Designed as a close support self-propelled assault gun it is good at eliminating enemy units in houses and out in the open.
Deployment:
Place the Stug III where it will be able to attack almost any enemy unit, even though it is an assult gun the Stug III is a good tank killer as well. With a low profile the Stug III is a hard target to hit.
Advantage:
Can kill almost any Allied unit.
Weakness:
With no turret it has to turn all the way around to fire in a reverse direction, added with thin armor it is very vulnerable to ambush from behind.
Panzerjager 38(t) Marder III
Description:
The Marder III is a Czech 38(t) chassis and hull with a captured Russian 76.2 mm high velocity cannon modified to fire German ammunition, the gun known as the Pak 36(r) is comparable to the Allied 76.2 mm guns, along with the main gun is a MG-34 machine gun. The Marder III has very thin armor and is easily pieced and an open topped turret making it vulnerable to even rifle fire and grenades.
Deployment:
The Marder III must be used in an ambush role even against infantry because it won't survive against other tanks or units in the team.
Advantage:
Fast and low profile make a good ambushing unit.
Weakness:
Thin armor and an open top make it an extremely vulnerable tank destroyer.
Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer
Description:
The Hetzer is a turretless tank destroyer armed with a 7.5 cm Pak 39 (L48) main gun and a Mg-34 machine gun. The Hetzer is a thin armored tank destroyer that can take on any Allied vehicle.
Deployment:
Place the Hetzer where it can attack enemy units and not take enemy fire.
Advantage:
Low profile and fairly fast movement.
Weakness:
Thin armor and no turret make the Hetzer very vulnerable.
Flammpanzer 38(t) Hetzer
Description:
The FlammPanzer Hetzer is the only German Flamethrower tank, armed with a large flamethrower and a MG-34. The Flammpanzer Hetzer has fairly good armor but is still easily pierced, along with ammunition the Flammpanzer carries all of the flammable liquid make it very vulnerable to enemy anti-tank guns and flamethrowers.
Deployment:
Place the Flammpanzer were it can take out enemy tanks in an ambush with its flamethrower and to eliminate enemy units in buildings or in the opening.
Advantage:
Very powerful when attacking infantry!
Weakness:
There seems to be more armor on the Flammpanzer than on the normal Hetzer but it still will not stop 75mm and up shells.
Panzerkampfwagen III M (Mark III)
Description:
The Mark III is the premier tank of early development until the Mark IV came along armed with a 7.5 cm Kw.K. (L24) main gun and 2- MG-34 machine guns the Mark III M is a fairly good tank for attacking infantry and "soft targets" like halftracks. The Mark III is better than a M5 Stuart but a little bit under a Sherman tank.
Deployment:
Place the Mark III where it can attack other enemy targets without getting shot up because it won't survive long in a open battlefield.
Advantage:
The Mark III has good firepower against infantry targets and halftracks.
Weakness:
Thin armor mean a low chance of surviving an encounter with an Allied tank on an open battlefield.
Panzerjager Panther (Jagdpanther)
Description:
Probably one of the most feared tank destroyer the Jagdpanther is armed with a 8.8 cm Pak 43/3 (L71) and a MG-34 machine gun. With massive sloping armor most shells cannot even go through let alone hurt the Jagdpanter.
Deployment:
Place the Jagdpanther anywhere not much is going to stop it!
Advantage:
Big gun and really thick armor make the Jagdpanther a major threat.
Weakness:
Vulnerable to flamethrowers.
Panzerjager Tiger (Jagdtiger)
Description:
This is the king of the battlefield armed with a massive 12.8 cm Pak 44 (L55) making gun and two MG-34 machine guns. The Jagdtiger is the most heavily armored vehicle on the battlefield making next to impossible to take out.
Deployment:
Place it anywhere nothing is going to take it out on the first shot!
Advantage:
Massive main gun and huge slabs of armor make this the king of the battlefield.
Weakness:
Vulnerable to flamethrowers.
