PEASANTS
Peasants form the majority of the Bretonnian population. Many peasants are trained in the arts of war and fight alongside the knights as men-at-arms and bowmen. Still, the greater majority of the population lack any form of military training at all. These are the farmers and herdsmen. Even so, these men will fight in times of need to defend themselves. They are armed with anything that they can find to use as a weapon, from pitchforks and shovels, to butcher knives and wooden clubs.

Special rules: Mob. The mob is a special formation that is unique to Bretonnian Peasants. A unit of peasants may reform into a mob in the movement phase or they can be deployed as one at Mobs move together in a very unorganized fashion, almost like a tight skirmish formation. They are so concerned with getting stuck in with their opponents that they can lap around even if they lose combat. Peasants feel much more secure in large numbers. Peasants in a mob formation may add +1 to their leadership for each rank behind the first (of at least 4 models) to a maximum of +3. Ranks that have lapped around do not count.
