Tin Cup is a romance/comedy that is a little drawn out but funny at the same time. Let me give you a brief description of what the movie is about.

Roy 'Tin Cup' McAvoy (Kevin Costner) was a great golfer in college, one of the best in the state of Texas. One of his teammates in college was David Simms (Don Johnson), who turned pro and is one of the best golfers on the circuit. Roy owns a little shack of a driving range and he gives lessons with his friend Romeo Posar (Cheech Marin).

One day, a beautiful psychologist Dr. Molly Griswold (Rene Russo), wanted golf lessons and Roy was the guy for the job. Little did he know that he was hitting on David's girlfriend. He does find this out later on in the movie. Roy, despite the fact that Molly is David's girlfriend, still falls in love with her and tries to find a way to win her heart.

Roy finally decided the only way to win her heart was to enter a major tournement and beat her boyfriend at it. I can't tell you if he wins or not, or if he even wins her heart, you will have to find out for yourself. This movie is funny and I would rent it on a rainy day.
