Tally Atwater, started out as Sally (Michelle Pfieffer), wanted to be a newscaster more than anything in the world. She started out doing nothing jobs and finally decided to send a video of herself into a newstation where Warren Justice (Robert Redford) worked. He told her to come to the newsstation and then she was interviewed.
She started out as a runner for Warren, then she was given a shot as a news breaking reporter. Warrnen had to teach her a lot of stuff and she studied him really well. She learned a lot and pretty soon she was a big star. Something she had always wanted to be. She was finally on her way to being the best in her business.
At the same time, she was falling in love with Warren. They became a couple and pretty soon their jobs separated them from each other, which became rough for them. They worked it out though.
This movie has a surprise ending so I'm not gonna say how it ends but make sure you have a box of tissues ready if you really get into these kinds of movies. Don't worry guys, the ladies will need a shoulder to cry on trust me.
Up Close and Personal is a romance/comedy. I saw this one summer and I loved it. Its a great movie with a sad ending.
