Details about the campaign

The Characters began life in a small town in the Principality of Ulek, a country in a world at war. Ulek  had just been invaded from the east by its neighbor, the goblin infested Pomarj.  The party was hired to take a message to the ruler of Princefelc, a northern province in the Principality, telling him to gather his armies and march for the eastern front.
Upon arriving at Princefeld, they discovered that the baron had not been receiving visitors for over a week.  Investigating, they discovered that the barons manor had been taken over by Pomarj spies. The group infiltrated the manor and rescued the baron.  The baron gathered his forces and, with the aid of the party repelled a Pomarjian Expeditionary force.

The party accompanied the Princefeld army to the eastern front, where it joined the main Ulek army.  The adventurers were then sent by the Prince to retrieve an enchanted Bloodsilver spear from a ruined mountain garrison.  Upon arriving at the garrison, they discovered another expedition sent by the Archcleracy of Veluna for the same purpose.  Seeing no other way to resolve the situation, the party fought and were defeated by the Velunese expedition and captured.  The leader of the expedition, Taerlyn, offered a compromise to the party.  She would duel one of the group.  If they won she would allow them to retrieve the spear themselves, but if she won then the party would aid her in retrieving it.  The party selected Ellenor as their champion. Ellenor was defeated by Taerlyn, and the party was bound by its word to assist her.
The garrison existed partially on the astral plane and could only be entered by using an enchanted powder to open the portal.  Upon entering, they discovered the place to be full of the undead remnants of its former troop.  Persevering, They eventually recovered the spear and returned to the real world.  Taerlyn’s expedition left with the spear and told the group that if they were ever in greyhawk city they should look her up.

Returning empty handed to the Prince, they aroused his ire.  Realising that Ulek had temporarily become an unfriendly place for them, the group decided to take Taerlyn up on her offer and headed for Greyhawk city.

After an adventure involving a fallen star and a group of seers, during which they met the Shade-monk Sion, and another in the Gnarley forest involving a hibernating Hierophant, a crazy Treeant and a bullywug invasion force, they finally arrive at the City of Hawks.

Upon arriving, the characters paid a visit to Taerlyn, since she is the only person that they know in the city.  She let them stay for a week or so until they could find somewhere to stay for themselves. She also helps them get into the Golden Phoenix tavern, an exclusive, expensive inn, but the best place to find the kind of people who offer high risk, high paying work.  It is here that they meet Warnes Starcoat and Jallarzi Sallavarian.

Having gotten settled into the city it was time to find work.  Taerlyn introduced them to a merchant who wanted a little spying done on a competitor who seemed extraordinarily well stocked with magical items and devices that had never been seen before. Upon investigation, the characters discovered that the merchant was dealing with man-eating Neogi and their Illithid ally.  The party manage to chase off the Neogi, ending their dealings in Greyhawk.

Next, Jallarzi hires te party to help negotiate the traps and dangers of her friend Bigby’s house, Bigby having recently been murdered.  The characters were able to avoid the traps, and reclaim Bigby’s will and treasures.  They were also able to find a flesh sample left by Bigby, allowing him to be magically cloned.

After returning to the city, the characters discover that Jallarzi’s tower is under attack, apparently from Jallarzi herself. After  a harrowing investigation, they discover that it is merely a magical copy of her, under the control of an ancient demonic Archmage, fulfilling it’s part of a bargain with Igwilv, a renowned witch and necromancer.

The groups newest quest is to foil an Illithid plot.  If they fail, the Illithids will extinguish the Sun, throwing the world into unending, frozen death!

The party managed to otherthrow the Illithid plot and went on to tackle the Rod of Seven parts. However when the got to the end of that part of the campaign they were all defeated by a Demon Warrior of immence power. It is as of yet unclear as to wether they survive.
