Oh My Goddess!

Oh My Goddess!- another good Anime series. I don't really like it as much as Neon Genesis, but the animation is much cleaner and the characters are good. It is the story of a shy, lonely College freshman who tries to order a pizza, and ends up dialing Heaven, who sends him the goddess Belldandy (a bad translation of Verthandi, a mythical goddess of some sort). She grants him one wish. Despite (or perhaps because of) the fact that a beautiful woman with a slender gem in her forehad has just appeared in his dorm room, he thinks it's all a prank by his absent roommates. So he wishes for Belldandy to be his girlfriend forever. But it is NOT a prank after all, and he now has a beautiful, sweet, magical Goddess for a girlfriend. And of course, this enviable little ingrate gets UPSET that his dorm doesn't allow women. Stuff works out for them, and it only gets wackier as Belldandy's immature younger sister, Skuld, and her scheming older sister appear, stuff gets more and more complicated (and funny, too). I'm still waiting for my friend to buy more of the tapes so I can see the rest of the series.
