I sat and looked at this quote for a long while and let its meaning fully sink in… or at least how I interpret it. The lifestyle of D/s has many different variations but in my opinion I think that relationships in D/s are like any other relationship in that, it take two halves to make a whole. Both roles compliment each other and in my opinion one is equally as important as the other. There are M/many that think or will say that the Dominant role is more important, but what would a Dominant be if there were no submissives? The Dominant would have no one to Dominate and therefor in an essence wouldn’t in fact be a Dominant at all! The Dominant is given the control by the submissive. Therefor allowing Him/Her to take control and Dominate. However in the aspect of Master/slave it is a bit different. The slave has little, if any, control and the Master takes what He pleases, there are few choices for a slave and this makes it possible for the Master to be more "Domaneering" for lack of a better word.Still though, one role is equally as important as the other, again, what or who would the Master Dominate if there were no slaves?? just some food for thought*smile* back to the Dungeon
