Most of you who are reading this probably have no clue what Unerlight is even though it is a fairly popular game that can be a load of fun dependning on what type of gamer you are. It is an online RPG made by Lyra Studios that created an entire "dream world" of which you can roam and do almost anything within. This game actually has the setting of a dream because Lyra wanted to stray from the usual midievil time frame. It is a refreshing change.
One of the most unique things about this page is that it has absolutally NO NPC's unless you consider the monsters (nightmares) NPC's which they really aren't. The whole world is basically controlled by the "dreamers" (you) themselves and you can be come as powerful as you want over time. I myself was one of the most powerful characters in the game. It is an interesting game to try out especially if you like TRUE RP and a refreshing change
This game has good to excellent gameplay. Even though the entire control system relies on the keyboard (the mouse can be used) it still presents an easy to use system. For more advanced users there is an almost endless list of options for programming certain functions to specific keys on your keyboard and many more things. The gameplay is fluent and the lag is minimal while playing and mostly depends on your individual connection not that of others. This game is truely interactive and for this reason the gameplay is fun, addictive, and neve gets boring. I think you will enjoy it.
The graphics in this game are superbe. They are unmatched by most games I have seen especially online RPGs. EverQuest will match them but that is not for a while yet. Unerlight, though does not run true 3d (3D video card enhanced) it has the appearance of 3D and it can fool almost anyone. The graphics sometimes look a little blockish but you soon get used to it and can appreciate the graphics for what they really are. This game definitely has something to offer in this department.
The key to this game is "online". What kind of online game have you heard of that has single player? This is a truly interactive game there is no such thing as singleplayer here. A bad thing? I don't think so. Nuff said
This game boasts multiplayer in fact it is all and NOTHING but multiplayer. Like I have said before truly interactive and the best Role Playing available in the industry. Lyra is truly involved with this game and show enormous support to their customers. They have made this one of the best multiplayer games around. There are some bad points like it is hard to make your way in the game by killing alone or without the help of others. If there is no one else around it can get boring. Some things are hard to avoid in a game with no NPC's.
Well this game isn't exactly cheap but it is not overly expensive either when you think about it. It does cost 14.95 a month to play (unlimited time) after the 10 hours free but however this game is FREE because you never have to purchase it. You just download it off the Internet and you are ready to go. So in this area you save almost $100 dollars over games like Ultima Online and that $100 will pay for almost a year of play. What game keeps your interest for more than a year anyway? You will probably end up saving money through this process. I know 14.95 a month is a little stiff but for many it is worth it.
This game strikes the consumer with a fantastic overall appearance. Let's recapp, it is new, refreshing, fairly cheap, has good graphics, totally interactive, you can gain power through RP not just fighting and killing, ther are almost unlimited options and you can be almost anything you want to be. The sky and your imagination are the limit. This is a keeper if it is your type of game. I encourage you to try it out. You probably won't regret it!
