Box One: THE GAME DIPLOMACY

There are now thousands, probably tens of thousands, of sites and hits on the Web relating to Diplomacy. By far most of them relate to the e-mail and PBEM form of play, but there is plenty of good, general reading material out there as well; and more coming on line. Why just look at this site to see how bad it has gotten?

1. Yahoo! - Recreation:Games:Board Games:Diplomacy.

I like Yahoo and Alta Vista. This is their generic site for all Diplomacy game related material.

2. Infoseek:The Game of Diplomacy

Infoseek is better for some things than Yahoo or Alta Vista, but there really isn't much difference until you get down to the nitty-gritty, and what Dipper wants to do that?

3. The Diplomactic Pouch:The Diplomacy Home Page

For the computer literate this is the place to find out everything about the game and hobby. It takes a bit of doing to learn the system, but don't worry, if I can learn it, so can you. Just when you get it figured out they'll change it again.

4. Diplomacy World

If you are a computer illiterate (What are you doing here?), this is your site. DW has published thousands of hard copy articles by hundreds of authors about everything related to the game or hobby, as well as some things that are just plain off the wall! I know, I've written most of those myself.

5. UK Postal Diplomacy Archives

Stephen Agar runs the UK Postal Diplomacy Archieves. This is a good source for info on the British Diplomacy hobby. That is not to be confused with the english-speaking Diplomacy hobby. Not only does he run the UK Postal Diplomacy Archives, he is actually doing something with them. I am in total awe of this man.

6. Newbies Guide in French

Xavier Rys lives in Belguim, but about as close to France as you can get. This is a site, mostly in French, for new Judge players. Now, if I can just talk him into setting up a francophone/english/esperanto site for WDC IX, I'll have it made.
