The Super Mario Bros. Monster Compendium

[If you want to view THE FRAMES VERSION (which works better), CLICK HERE]

Welcome to the Super Mario Bros. Monster Compendium. This site will eventually chronicle all of the monsters from the realm of Mario. You can see recent updates to the site further down.

If this is your first visit, you might want to go see an explanation of what this site is, how it came about, and where it's going. You may also want to visit my sample monster, especially if you don't know what a monster compendium is, or you want to know where my data comes from.

If you've been here before, or you're just impatient, go to the monster archives.

You might also want to check out a rant page I've made on gender inequality in gaming, or the Super Mario Brothers Font I'm designing.

The compendium has an EZ Boards forum. Go to EZboard to visit it. And if you wade through all of that and you're still not satisfied, then go to my links to find more sites related to Mario and games.

Updates:

2003-6-13: NEW SITE! Go to mariomonsters.com to view the new home of the improved Super Mario Monster Compendium!!

2003-6-6: Christian submitted Toadsworth for this week's update and I have fan-art from contributor John Doe on the King Boo, Bob-omb and Chomp pages.

2003-6-5: Mario Kart Double Dash!! preview from Christian:
The Mushroom Kingdom just got a whole lot more hectic as Mario and company double up for furious kart racing. But this time, they're driving two seaters! Each kart holds two racers who can switch places any time. Choose from Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Toad, Birdo, Yoshi, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Baby Mario Baby Luigi, Wario, Waluigi, Koopa, Para Koopa, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, and the Bob-Ombs. They might add FLUDD and the Poltergust 3,000. The player in front drives while the player in the back shoots out obstacles. Each specific player has eight special attacks.
Mario Kart Double Dash has all new levels. Complete each course in first place to unlock harder levels. Use the broadband to play with other players on seprate systems and seprate T.V.'s. It will become availible on the 4th quarter.

2003-5-30: One new monster this week, it's Beezo (or Shy Away) from Super Mario Bros. 2 and Super Mario RPG! I also made a new picture for the Goomba King and the site has some new links courtesy of Christian.

Finally, check out the "Friends" section at the bottom of the links page to visit Christian's (Intelligence1) web site!!

2003-5-14: Tomorrow is the site's fourth anniversary! I'd like to celebrate by taking a moment to recognize the volunteers who have helped the site this year:
First and foremost, thanks to Alex Jaffe and Christian Guzman, the regular site contributors, they've helped out so much! The site wouldn't be anywhere near as good without them. Also this year, I've had some help from:

Thanks to all of these volunteers! The regular update will be here on Friday.

2003-5-9: I'm adding Octovader from Super Mario RPG this week. Also new quotes for Shadow Mario and some changes to the evolution section of Birdo. They address Birdo's weird gender issues.

2003-4-25: I have Chow from Super Mario RPG to add to the compendium and Alex adds the Giant Snake from Wario Land 2. Plus, a screenshot of Bowser and Bowser Junior racing against DK and Diddy Kong, plus four other characters from the new GameCube game, Mario Kart Double Dash!! (It's the same shot on both pages)
