If our total turnout for this event is six to nine teams, then each team will get to play six games. The top three teams will advance to the championship round, where they will play for the '99 GOTC trophy.
All games will be 30 minutes in length, except for the championship round, which will be 60 minutes in length.
The game set for the tournament will be the same for all games: 16 lives, unlimited shots, and 10-second downtime.
Tournament ranking:
3 ranking points will be awarded to the team with the most lives left at the end of each game. If there is a tie for lives left, the team with the most tags wins.
1 ranking point will be awarded to each surviving team for each team eliminated. (i.e. if there is one team remaining at the end of the game, it will receive 2 points. Two teams remaining at the end of the game will receive 1 point each.
1 ranking point will be awarded to the team with the highest score.
In determining the teams advancing to the championship round, if there is a tie in ranking points, it will be resolved by the highest total lives left after all the preliminary rounds.
If there is a tie in the championship round, there will be a 15-minute Reality game to break the tie. Game set is 3 lives, 100 shots, and 10-second downtime. Last team standing wins.
