Looking like a Drow (Uniform, Skills and Equipment) |
||||||||||||||||||
All Drow characters in QVI are required to present a certain look to others in game. These requirements can be altered only after being given permission from the guild leaders. | ||||||||||||||||||
Uniform |
||||||||||||||||||
A full member (Shebali and above) warrior should wear the following: Chain mail (shadow) leggings, coif (no metal helmets) and tunic, scale arms gloves, studded leather or plate gorget. Footwear: either sandles or black leather high boots. Small metal sheilds only (bucklers or round) No cape. Wanre are restricted to leather (studded) armor and may only use wooden sheilds. Nobles and high House Masters can wear one peice of plate in addition (usually arms or gloves). And females can wear plate chest armor as well. Some liency is afforded the highest ranks. For non-warriors, mages and priestessess usually wear robes of the appropriate color. In addition, it is acceptable to wear normal clothing, but of a very dark hue. Bone armor is not acceptable (with the exception of bone arms as an alternative to plate for high ranking members), neither is full plate mail. An effort should be made to use the smallest shield possible; heaters are unacceptable. Kite shields, though undrow-like can be used. |

Skills | ||||||||||||||||||
With the balancing effects of the current UO system, no hard and fast skill requirements will be impossed. There is a general requirement for all drow to have the following skills to a minimum of 50: hiding, magery, and magic resist. These skills represent the natural abilities of the drow race. Below are suggested skill templates for the four main professions in QVI. Warrior (Sargtlin) and Assassin (Velglarn) Mage (Faern) Priesthood (Yath) Other's (Craftmen, Slaves, non-nobles) |
||||||||||||||||||
Equipment | ||||||||||||||||||
Prefered weapons (these weapons are the most drow-like, and thus should be the only ones used by us): Light crossbow, Dagger, Kryss, (small) mace, maul, War Mace (Yathrin only) War Mace, Bradiche and Halberd (Temple Guards only), short and long Spear, War Fork, Katana, Scimitar, Long Sword (rarely) Mounts: The only mount allowed is a Ostard, as it comes the closest to the subteranian lizards drow ride in the Underdark. Shebali can ride them in battle. Wanre can never ride them (and may be punished if caught doing so) Those of the higher stations can ride them whenever they please, but please make some attempt to role-play them. Don't perminately attach yourself to the back of the poor thing. |
