THEY  have come and gone...

I had third row center seats this time.  It was my girlfriend Sara Gorecki, Ellie Dockus, Eric Rampson, Garrett Hunter, and Grace Tsau and me, and They Might Be Giants kicked our asses all over Foellinger.  Not only did they play classics like "She's an Angel" and "Ana Ng" (with a bizarre, distorted intro involving an insect hospital), but they played new song "Dr. Worm" *TWICE* and had a 10 ft long branch with a mike taped to it that they banged on the floor during a song or two.  Bizarre effect.  Wow.  Every so often it's good to be reminded why they're my favorite band.  There's nothing like having them play "Battle for the Planet of the Apes" and have the ground floor chant against the balcony: people vs. apes.  God they're wacky....I love 'em....
