HABITS: Light smoker.[ Drinks heavily (to little effect), and occasionally uses mild drugs. Picks up women for sex, but this leads to flashbacks followed by aggression that scares the woman away. This happens every two or three weeks, and spurs Berston to conceive a job.
HOBBIES: Claims to enjoy photography, fishing, reading, and for the ladies: ìsensual pleasuresî. In actuality, his hobbies are working out, sabotage, torture, and inflicting emotional trauma on as many people as possible.
MENTAL CHARACTERISTICS: Berston is insane. He is a sociopath plagued by flashbacks of his past life, memory loss of recent events, and violent impulses. Violence, or anticipation of violence, clears Berstonís mind and gives him focus. However, it is important to note that Berston plans his violence, and rarely acts on his impulses without planning.
MORAL CHARACTERISTICS: Berston is almost totally amoral. He knows what he does is wrong, and relishes living to hurt. An exception to this is during a flashback, when he acts more like the Alan Berston known and loved before his death. He keeps far from his family to avoid hurting them, leftover morality from his past life.
CLOTHING: Depends on what the situation dictates, but always dark colors. Usually wears sunglasses during the day to mask his features.
BELIEFS: Here's where Berston gets weird. He thinks he is alive because some force brought him back for a special mission. This mission is to inflict pain on the world. If he doesnít keep inflicting more and more pain and suffering, this force will cease its protection and instruction and let him die again. Right now he feels his actions are "small time", but he will be shown the way to cause pain across the nation and the world.
TRADITIONS: Berston seeks out people without much contact with society and kills them. Then he liquidates as much of their assets as possible and uses the money to finance his job. His job targets are currently high profile or high risk targets like transportation, but he is developing more intense plans.
CURRENT LIFESTYLE: Berston wanders from place to place, living in decent motels and acting like a businessman. He drives rental cars or the vehicle from his latest victim (with plates stolen from police impound yards). Berston carries his belongings in suitcases and sport bags, and they hold clothes, papers, phone numbers, weapons, and other "tools of the trade." He only stays in one spot for a week or so, planning moves and making contacts before he moves on. Weeks or months later heíll be back, and thatís when he executes his plan for pain.
HOME: Berston does have a home in Phoenix. His wife Tawanda and their beautiful four year old daughter Tina live there. Alan Berston hasnít been there since the morning before he was killed, and Tina only remembers her daddy from the pictures on the mantle. FBI and local law enforcement agencies will not question Tawanda Berston unless they suspect Alan has visited her, and thatís not his style.
PHYSICAL FEATURES: Alan Berston is a good looking man: athletic, clean-cut and personable. There arenít any distinguishing features that immediately set him apart, heís just put together well. If his shirt is off, eight circular scars will be visible on his chest and back. These scars look like bullet wounds, and at least two of them appear to have been fatal.

Alan Berston was born and raised in San Diego, CA. He graduated from SDSU with a degree in Political Science and Law Enforcement in 1988. He was recruited by the FBI, but held off reporting for a few weeks until he had married his fiancee Tawanda Lyson. Alan Berston worked in the FBIs Hostage Rescue Team for nearly five years. He was a good agent, a good husband and father, and was expected to go far. Agent Berston was called out to a ësituationí in the woods of North Carolina. Some extremists had taken a reporter and her crew hostage and were demanding 10 million in ransom from the network within 36 hours or the hostages would die. As the HRT sniper eliminated the lookout, and tear gas filled the cabin, Berston and four other agents crashed through the front while five more agents came in the back. Berston, wearing a gas mask, was first in and saw the captors were also masked. He fired, killing one gunman and wounding another, but a third gunman managed to shoot. The standard issue body armor was no match for the new ìcop killerî bullets, and Alan Berston died on the scene. An ambulance took his body and made for Chapel Hill and the morgue, but never arrived. A week later, the ambulance was found near the Virginia border with both driver and paramedic dead, but no Berston...
Berston smiled as he mailed the weapons, then tipped the ATF about David Koreshís activities. He knows how law enforcement, especially the FBI, works. He chuckled as "weather conditions" sent the planes he visited crashing to the ground. The media, who report the ënewsí, is so blind to the truth about their "news". He laughed out loud as the storefront shattered and debris fell around him in Oklahoma City, for now he knew how to make a nation grieve...
