Case file(as presented verbally):

Two men, workers at the Yukon Lumber Co., have been brutally killed. At first the two were thought to have been attacked by a large bear. Due to a long harsh winter many bears have been seen close to camp, searching for scraps.>
When a third man is nearly killed real close to his cabin, the Co. goes back and scans security camera footage. These cameras were placed on the main cabin to catch Environmental Terrorists. Still photographs were taken from the camera footage and the pictures seem to be of a large Human or maybe a bear--you can't really tell. He stands 8 feet tall and is covered in hair. The pictures (considering their source) are very blurry. In all actuality it could be a bear..but the pictures "seem" to show a human. The 3rd man attacked is still in a coma at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, so he cannot be asked to comment.
The Co. is camped outside of Camp Yukon, Alaska. The bodies and injured man are in Fairbanks Alaska

THE EXPLOITED APE WOMAN

"The overblown claimes, badly distorted the truth about the mexican woman whose strange nature needed no further distortion. Billed as "The Ugliest Woman Who Ever Lived," Julia Pastrana was only four and a half feet tall, and her slight stature was easily the least noticable anomaly of her appearance. She had a dark, curly beard that hung under her chin. Thick hair covered much of the rest of her body. Heavy brow ridges thrust above her flat nose, while her jaws pushed forward like a gorrilla's further exaggerating lips that were already twice the normal size.
Modern medicine would come to define the source of Pastrana's hairiness as a hormone imbalance. Possibly an overproduction of male sex hormones by her overies. Her Ape like face may have had the same cause while her outsized lips were backed by unusualy thick gums, posibly the result of a Vitamin C deficiency."*

THE GENTLE GIANT

"Robert Wadlow was determined not to be set apart as a freak. His dignified insistence softened the fact that his goal was plainly impossible: Before he died at age 22, Wadlow stood a little over 8 feet 11 inches tall and weighed 491 pounds. Medical science considres him the tallest man who ever lived.
Wadlow wieghed just 8 pounds 6 ounces when he was born in 1918. But by the time he was five he stood 5 feet four inches tall. ....Doctors diagnosed his Giantism as Acromegaly, a condition cause by overactive pituitary glands. the hormonal imbalance was never checked because researchers apparently felt that a brain operation to correct the problem would kill him...."*

REPORTING AGENT: Special Agent V. Maxiss, X-Files Special Operations

Special Agent A. Beck, Special Agent S. Bannion, Agent S. Thanatos, and Agent B. Jax were the lead agents on this investigation. Responding to the initial case file reports, they proceeded via commercial air to Fairbanks, Alaska.

The team made contact with the lumber company foreman, but only produced a single lead. Following up on this lead, they discovered the abandoned cabin of one Linda Blue. Since the cabin had legally been declared abandoned after Blue's disappearance in 1994, the team entered the dwelling and began a search for further clues or leads.

As follow-on agent, I was checking for possible leads in the investigation through the Anchorage Field Office. I reported my lack of findings to SA Beck, who requested my assistance at the field site. Upon arrival at the site, I was briefed on the further progress of the team. They had discovered an operational personal computer as well as a personal journal or diary kept by Blue.

Both the computer and the journal made references to an individual named "George". Acting on SA Beck's advice, the team drove into Fairbanks in the rental vehicle I had signed for (See attached Vehicle Requisition Form, Rental Vehicle Expense Log, and related receipts) to search the library and newspaper archives for related topics.

In one of the relevant newspaper articles (see attached newspaper excerpt: Fairbanks Daily Times) we discovered a mention of one George Fredrickson, missing since 1985. Fredrickson is afflicted with a rare pituitary growth disorder (see attached medical reports) that could account for his large size and general similarity to legendary accounts of "Bigfoot".

With Fredrickson as a possible suspect, the team returned to Blue's cabin to attempt to secure evidence linking Fredrickson to the murders, as well as determine possible leads to his whereabouts. While the team was searching the locale, Fredrickson approached the cabin in an apparent search for food. With a animal control tranquilizer gun found at the scene, Agt Thanatos shot Fredrickson when he attempted to flee.

Agt Jax, who was covering Fredrickson with his service pistol, was nearest to Fredrickson after Agt Thanatos shot him with the tranquilizer. After being shot, Fredrickson stumbled then lunged at Agt Jax. I was approaching Agt Jax from behind when he fired a single shot at Fredrickson, without identifying himself or calling a warning.

The suspect was struck in the chest and immediately collapsed. I reached the suspect first and immediately checked for life signs. Detecting no pulse and no breathing, I began CPR and first aid on the subject. SA Beck relieved Agt Jax of his firearm pending intermediate resolution of the incident in accordance with FBI Incident Procedure Regulations. SA Bannion called a stand-by medical unit at the logging base camp, then assisted with my attempts as resussictating the suspect.

Medical personnel arrived on the scene in under five minutes and transported the suspect to Fairbanks Community Hospital where the suspect is still recovering.

Based on the size of the suspect, the suspect's hostile intent, and the relative inexperience of Agt Jax, I believe that the shooting was justified and was performed in accordance with FBI Use of Force Policies in effect at the time.

Recommend transfer of case documentation to prosecuting staff for criminal proceedings on G. Fredrickson.

Recommend removal of Case File XF#73317-S010196 from active roster.

FAREDRICKSON FAMILY CALLS OFF SEARCH

AFTER A MONTH OF SEARCHING THE SEARCH TO FIND THE MISSING FREDRICKSON BOY HAS BEEN CALLED OFF. ......"WE ARE NOT RULING OUT FOUL PLAY," SAID OFFICER BRAD RICE" BUT UNTIL WE GET ANY INFORMATION WE ARE AT A STAND STILL"

......THERE HAVE BEEN SERVERAL THEORIES RANGING FROM KIDNAPPING TO THE IDEA THAT HE MAY HAVE SLIPPED OFF INTO THE WOODS. BUT SEARCH PARTIES AND .......OTHER TIPS HAVE SHED NO LIGHT ON THIS CASE.

Incident Report:

Two bullets were fired from Agent Boomer Jax FBI issued revolver in self defense against the subject. Although accounts differ no disciplinary action was taken. One GoldStar computer[Agent Thantos tagged for eviedence] -Erased of most information and one Brown leather daily journal[Agent Bannion] was recovered from the cabin of Linda Blue(desceased). Two Master locks were replaced at division cost to the above cabin.

Case Marked As Solved:

George Fredrickson son of Ruth and Ed Fredrickson, repported missing in June of 1995, was found to be responsible for the death and injury to the Lumber Co. workers. Mr Fredrickson sufferes from several medical problems. One being a pitutitary problem that caused him to grow to an unusually large size was found to be living in a cave near to the area in which the Lumber Co. had began work. He also suffered from some mental problems as well, slowing down his learning nad comprehension. When scared he lashes out to protect himself.
His actions were seen by the agents investigating the case to be those of self defense and protection of his home. Mr Fredrickson was rushed, by ambulance, from the cabin of Velma Jacobson to Fairbanks General hospital. Then released to the Meyers Phsyciartic Home in Fairbanks Alaska.
