HISTORY:

A historical report on Singer begins with a Juvenile rap sheet from Gary. At age 11 operating a stolen vehicle without a license. Age 13 possession of marijuana. Age 14 Prostitution. Age 15 Grand theft auto. Sentenced to 2 yrs in Whiporwill Juvenile work farm Tusgiean, AL. One of three children born to Sharon Cross, father unknown. Cross died of a drug overdose her children became wards of the state. His brother, Jonathan (age 2) was institutionalized for autism. His sister Catherine ( age 9) was sent St. Augustine orphanage that was shortly after disbanded, the proprietor was charged with multiple counts of Child abuse, both physical and sexual.

Singer formed an alliance with Judge Harvey Singer (the same judge that sentenced him to the work farm). Judge Singer agreed to have Nick transferred to a local facility, including visitation with his sister if he agreed to be a model prisoner and pursue his education. While Nick served his sentence Singer and his wife adopted the entire family. Upon getting his GED at age 17 he was accepted on probation at Indian State University and then went on to Indiana State Police Academy to pursue a career in law enforcement. After graduation, he immediately entered under cover work in narcotics.

Two years latter, he began to attract the attention of Internal affairs, however charges were never brought against him he was often investigated. During one of these investigations, Singer was required to be psychologically examined. He was forced to take 2 months leave, when the psychologist found him approaching serious burn- out and unfit for duty. Although, he was never assigned to further under cover operations, 1 year latter he was offered a promotion to lieutenant, which he denied to attend Quantico FBI academy. Due to his past history with suspected drug use during investigation, he was denied his requested position in the Bureaus narcotics division and was instead assigned to the OPI Unit.

PERSONALITY:

Nicky has a rather sarcastic sense of humor. A casual demeanor would be an understatement in his case. Outside the office he is a chain smoker. He has a modest 2 bedroom apartment that is in a constant state of disarray.

He drives a 94 Camaro that he keeps in mint condition, although he's tampered with the fuel line so the accelerator is "a bit touchy" (touchy meaning it looks like he's using jet fuel). He only goes shopping for clothes when his adoptive mother drags him out kicking and screaming. His favorite garments are his finger less black leather driving gloves, that he's able to wear through a loop hole he found in the dress code. Although he's usually clean shaven, he postpones hair cuts for as long as possible so he often appears shaggy.

He's fiercely devoted to his family. His brother is seldom anything but catatonic. His sister is now a rock star hopeful, he can often be found in a night club on the weekends to watch her band play. Singer himself has questionable taste in music for a federal agent. Associates that are unfortunate enough to be on a road trip with him are not only tortured by artists such as Nine inch Nails, Lords of Acid, and a barrage of rap, but they also have to suffer Singer screaming along with it at the top of his lungs.

Despite all this he can be described as kind hearted and well meaning. It takes a long while to establish trust with him, but he's extremely loyal. He has excellent intuition. He can tell when he's being watched or when he's being lied to. He has a passion for movies (particularly Gangster and SciFi) and rambles off quotes on queue.
