SPAWN is a comic book produced by Image under the authority of Todd McFarlane. The comic book is currently around issue 60. Due to it's overwhelming popularity, Spawn came out with a whole line of Spawn Toys. After even more growing popularity, HBO and Image signed a contract to do 6 animated episodes on Friday's at midnight. That mini-series has already been shown but will hopefully come up again in re-runs. Now, the best addition to Spawn is arriving. Spawn the movie is scheduled to come out across America on August 1st. The soundtrack to Spawn is going to be one of the greatest ever as well. With bands like Metallica, Prodigy, Korn, and many more popular bands, it will surely be one of the best soundtracks, if not the best, that has ever been produced.

General Spawn Background:

Spawn is a comic book set in present time, where the battle between Heaven and Hell is very real. People have sold their soul to Hell in order to get something back in return, usually their lost life. Heaven has angelic soldiers to kill these demons and hellspawns from the fiery depths they came from. A Spawn is one who sold their soul to Hell and was brought back to life. Except they were brought back with hell-born energies and powers as well as a living costume, all of which makes them impossible to fit in to normal society. Being screwed out of their deal, Hellspawns wander the Earth, deciding to do good or evil, and using their precious hell-born energy to do anything their imagination requires. However there is only a set amount of this energy that each spawn has. Once it is used up, the spawn is sent back to hell where he/she shall either become a member of the Elite Army of Hell or they will become food for the army if they are unworthy.

Al Simmons was a decorated hero, who saved the President from an assassin's bullet. The media made him to be a national figure. The military made him into a killing machine. After his boss had double-crossed him, having him blown away beyond recognition; Al made the pact with Hell and came back to Earth in his new Spawn body. He has decided to do good instead of evil, and not become one of Hell's pawns. Spawn searches for a way to break his deal with the devil and become human again.
