MEDIEVAL SPAWN
SERIES ONE - WINTER OF 1994
Stock Number 10103

Originally shipped with blue armor elements. The repaint was changed to black armor. (This same color combo was used in the Malebolgia-Medieval Spawn Two-Pack for K-Mart in Fall of 1995.) Was in silver armor in the Medieval Spawn Battle Horse Set.
Known Variants: The black-armored version also came on a card, rather than a clamshell. Exclusive Versions?: Pewter-colored version through Puzzle Zoo and Venture in Fall 1995, Gold-colored version through Kaybee Toys in Summer 1996


SPAWN
SERIES ONE - WINTER OF 1994

Wearing his original costume, he came in a full-masked version to start, and a un-masked "Hamburger Head" version as a repaint.
Known Variants: The Hamburger Head version also shipped on a card.
Exclusive Versions?: Blue-colored version was only available through Diamond Comics, one for each CASE of Wildstorm Spawn cards ordered.
Gold-colored version through Kaybee Toys in Fall 1995.
With new head (worms and muscle tissue), one shipped to comic shops for each 50 copies of Spawn #50 ordered.


OVERTKILL
SERIES ONE - WINTER OF 1994

The first version of this toy had a turquoise costume, changed during the repaint shipments to a dark green. Known Variants: Early editions had hand-painted parking meters, reading "5 ¢", while the more prevalent meter had painted-on "5 ¢ 10 ¢"

TREMOR

The first version of this toy is orange-skinned. The repaint version had a dark-green costume. Known Variants: None

VIOLATOR
SERIES ONE - WINTER OF 1994

The first version of this toy looks the same as the double-size version that shipped with the Violator Chopper (but obviously smaller).
Known Variants: Violator is the only toy in any of the series to ship with a trading card, which was added in the reship series. So the versions are: 1) no card, 2) red card 3) green card and the rare 4) chrome card. Exclusive Versions?: Red-colored version through mail order in May, 1995. Gold version through Kaybee Toys in late Fall, 1996.

SERIES TWO - SPRING OF 1995

ANGELA
SERIES TWO - SPRING OF 1995

The original version shipped with gold headpiece and gold-and-purple costume, while the repaint shipped with silver headpiece and silver-and-blue costume.
Known Variants: The sword first shipped pointing up (but covered by the sticker). Then it shipped pointing down. Angela had no "panties" (Party Angela), and then a paint swatch was added to the torso. The two rings on the top of her staff came first in silver, and then unpainted. Next, a ribbon (okay, a twist-tie) was tied to the staff, creating another version. Finally, the "buttons" on the top of her staff were painted purple, along with a painted ribbon.
Exclusive Versions?: Red-trimmed version available only by joining the McFarlane Toys Collector's Club in 1996/97.


BADROCK
SERIES TWO - SPRING OF 1995
Stock Number 10114

The original version shipped with blue shirt and pants, while the repaint shipped with red pants and "flesh" colored shirt.
Known Variants: Missiles were first "sharp" (i.e. pointy), then blunt. The sharp missile version also had black missile launchers on his shoulders, which changed to a silver-gray. Gum color (yes, people checked out his teeth) changed from black to gray.

CHAPEL
SERIES TWO - SPRING OF 1995

The original version shipped with blue/black pants, while the repaint shipped with khaki-green pants.
Known Variants: Chapel's face was originally painted white, but the paint tended to smear, causing streaks. Later, a bone-colored paint was used on his face (and the sword he carries), which proved more durable. There are also some figures painted with eyeballs in the "white" area of his eyes, while others just have a "Little Orphan Annie" look.

COMMANDO SPAWN
SERIES TWO - SPRING OF 1995

The original version shipped with gray guns (with or without speckles), while the repaint shipped with gold armaments.
Known Variants: There is a rare (only about 700 made) "polka-dot" gun version, where the rifles he carries are dotted with only a few dots on each side. This is not to be confused with the common "speckled" gun version, that has dozens of tiny (and not-so-tiny) dots of black paint. There also exists the plain-gun version, with NO speckles on the gray gun.
Exclusive Versions?: Painted in camouflage colors (except the face), he shipped with a double-size Red Violator in a two-pack for Target stores in December, 1995.


PILOT SPAWN
SERIES TWO - SPRING OF 1995

Originally in a variation of a Spawn costume (black) , the repaint was colored white to look like "Astronaut Spawn." The black version that shipped with the Air Cycle had a Spawn circle-logo on his chest, with green armbands.
Known Variants: The first version of this figure shipped with no decal on the chest, and with gray or black hoses leading to the back-pack. The chest-piece had a decal (that was missing on one variation), that changed to a "skull-like" set of slits ( '""' ), a skull "wearing a hat", or a plain skull on a red background. Exclusive Versions?: None


MALEBOLGIA
SERIES TWO - SPRING OF 1995
Stock Number 10115

While never officially repainted, some of the two-packs (see Exclusives) had black speckles on its light-green body. Both the original and two-pack versions had major variations in body color (see Variants). Known Variants: The first wave of these was a light green body, with yellow highlights. Then his body went to a light tan, a medium tan, and a brownish with purple and green highlights. The hair plugs were random in these variations: white, dark gray, or a combination of the two.
Exclusive Versions?: Malebolgia was released as part of a K-Mart two-pack in Nov., 1995, with a black (repaint version) Medieval Spawn. The production run of this version was almost as high as the initial run of the figure.

CLOWN II

The original shipped with the aforementioned dead-head, and black guns on the shoulders. The repaint had no head (only teeth-marks), and orange day-glo guns.
Known Variants: Some of the FIRST paint series shipped with no head on the arm (using the mold from the repaint). Likewise, some bandoleers (ammo-belts) across the chest did not have the gold speckles that others had.

EXO-SKELETON SPAWN

The original had a black body (normal costume) with black/grey exoskeleton (except for a minor variation, see variants). The repaints had a WHITE costume and white/light grey bones.
Known Variants: Some of the FIRST paint series shipped with brown/tan bones instead of black/grey.
Also, while approximately 50% of the black/grey exoskeletons shipped with the half-mask, the remainder shipped with an equal number of FULL masks or NO masks (hamburger-head). Likewise, the repaint shipped equally with full masks and no masks.

Some cards had the name of the figure in red, white, and blue (almost impossible to read), while most were in yellow. The guns gained a black "speckling."

Mutant Spawn

The original version came with two posable tentacles and a rust-colored body. The repaints had four BENDABLE tentacles, and had blue or tan patches added to the body paint.
Known Variants: First shipment had only two "wings", while later versions of the original came with four wings. Repaint came with red shoulder-eyes and tan patches and jaw, or silver shoulder-eyes with blue patches and jaw.
