About me

Hey, my name is Jason!  My birthday is on June 18th, 1983, and I started collecting Phil CD's around June 1997. When I was a little kid, my dad had records of Invisible Touch, Face Value, and No Jacket Required. I remember Invisible Touch the most, though. So on my 14th birthday in June of '97, I got Invisible Touch and memorized every song on the CD. From then on I was a "Phil Phan", or Phil addict for life. Now I have started collecting Phil items.

Concerning videos, I have: Genesis: A History, Genesis Videos: Volume I, Genesis Videos: Volume II, Serious-Live!, Phil Collins: The Singles Collection, Genesis LIVE - The Way We Walk in Concert, and But Seriously - The Videos, and I was fortuanate enough to get the VH1: Behind the Music - Genesis on tape.

I have all of Phil's solo efforts including the Tarzan soundtrack, and "A Hot Night in Paris", from the Phil Collins Big Band.  I also have a pair of Pro-Mark Signature Series drumsticks, with Phil Collins' signature on them!

Concerning Genesis, I have Duke, Abacab, Genesis, Invisible Touch, We Can't Dance, Way We Walk Volume 1: The Shorts, Way We Walk Volume 2: The Longs, Turn It On Again - The Hits, and an interview picture disc with a chronology book. I consider my Genesis collection complete. I have no real desire to go backward into Gabriel-era Genesis, but I might get the CD "Calling All Stations," which was the first Genesis album since the departure of Phil Collins.

I have several other items.  I have some Phil Collins singles, which include: Strangers Like Me (Album version, radio version, A/C version), The Same Moon (Same Moon, Always Live, I Don't Want to Go), Both Sides of the Story (Both Sides of the Story, Always Live, Both Sides of the Demo), In The Air Tonight (In The Air Tonight Extended Version, ITAT '88 Remix, I Missed Again), and the very rare single, You Ought to Know... (Oughta Know By Now, I Don't Want to Go, Another Time, It's Over, It's Everywhere, Wear my Hat)

Genesis singles include: Land of Confusion (Land of Confusion, Land of Confusion Extended Version, Feeding the Fire, Do the Neurotic)

I also have all of the "Mike and the Mechanics" albums, which is a group formed by Genesis member Mike Rutherford. They include: Mike + The Mechanics, The Living Years, and Word of Mouth, and Beggar on a Beach of Gold.  M + M recently released a "Greatest Hits" CD, which I am considering getting.

I find a lot of stuff on eBay, and sometimes just by searching the Internet.
