![]() And by decisions more embroils the fray By which he reigns: next him high arbiter Chance governs all. -John Milton
Lathair first demonstrated this power by stepping into a realm protected from teleport by Hecate, the goddess of magic herself. All he needed to do was concentrate his magic into a small part of the protective “wall” and then basically short it out. It is possible to do this on a long term basis, but it is usually used only briefly and the caster of that magic must be actually present at the place that is being disrupted. Therefore, on the Prime Material Plane it would not be possible for Lathair or Megiana to randomly teleport a selected person out of a teleport protected area without the aid of an item or a formerly placed, triggered spell upon that person. At this point, they have no established mages who use this magic in the realms involved, but that is sure to change with time. Obviously these mages would not have the same extent of power as the gods, their magic not being certain to always work as desired. Only the two gods can have complete control over their Chaos magic, it being a chaotic force, even those who wield it cannot always predict the results. One other thing that must be mentioned on this is that when going up against the magic of one another, these two gods have a much more difficult time with their disruption. Chaos vs. Chaos is not so easy a battle, each able to defeat the other with its mere nature. There is only a small (5%) chance that one god can pass the magic of the other, but that chance does exist. ![]() When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.
