Welcome
to this page. Here I will tell you a little about myself in the real world.
I was raised and still live in Long Beach, California. Being only
a few blocks from
the
beach, I don't visit it as much as I used to or would like to. Being
a "surfer
girl"
in my much younger days, the days
of
up at dawn, to catch that wave, have
fallen
to be now maybe 2 times a year to
walk
on the shore.
I
attended Long Beach City college where I took courses in Fingerprinting
and Criminal Justice. I attended school and
completed
Import/Export and US Customs. Also, I took courses in medical
terminology,
and hospital health. I studied to be an Emergency Medical Tech.
and
right after completing my EMT
course
, I was hired as an ambulance driver and was driving ACLS {Advanced
Cardiac
Life Support}" ambulances. I was made the crew supervisor and trained and
supervised the ambulance personnel.
After
5 years there,
the
owner relocated and the company closed, I began working for "Life Flight"
emergency medical helicopters. "Life flight" was quite
a busy place, as we did trauma transports, "scene flights for
County
fire departments, for law enforce-
ment
agencies, Hospital to hospital criticals, trauma's, neonatal, pediatrics,
responded for the Navy Fire Department
and
organ transplant flights. We also did
flights
for the D.E.A. and various air shows, car races , and was the medical
response
for ocean oil platform personnel. I also was chosen to be one of 6 members
of "Life Flights" safety team which our
flight
record and standards were impeccable. With standards required
beyond
the F.A.A.'s
Life
flight also was called upon to do promotionals, give tours & demonstrations.
"Life
Flight" was in quite a few TV shows such as
Cops,
Rescue 911, OnScene Emergency
Response,
and Code 3. It also was in the
movies
"Patriot Games" and "Shattered"
Life
flight also participated in the
annual " Alicia Ann " Burn Relay , which is where California Fire Departments
raise
money for a very special children's burn
center.
Dr. George Fishbeck, flew with us
daily
when being presented with the donations
from
So. Calif Fire Depts. Dr George is a
well
known News weather caster for ABC.
I
also worked in the Trauma center at
St.
Mary's hospital. The designated
trauma
center for the Long Beach and
surrounding
area's. Quite a busy place
unfortunately.
This was my part time 2nd job
along
with "Life flight" being full time
I
have also , since Life flight, been made a supervisor and
trained
ambulance crews for a 2nd ambulance company.
I
am currently in home health care, and
like
the hours much better. {only 3-4 hrs a day, but 7 days a week , holidays
included} The days on the ambulance with 48 hrs shifts on and 48
hours off, then 48
on
again got to be old. The 24's on and off were a little bit
easier.
I
enjoy all types of music.. Quite a few years ago, I managed a rock
band. The drummer
is
a neighbor and he talked me into it. He
also
"jamm's" with the group Van Halen. It
was
an experience for sure hehe.
I
do alot of "country crafting"
which
includes alot of natural flower crafting, such as wreathes, bouquets ,
tole painting, etc.
I
also enjoy reading. My current interest
in
books is of biographies. I enjoy dancing
and
took several years of ballroom dancing, and other types of dancing,
while
in school. Bobby Burgess {of the
original
Disney Mouseketeers} and also
whom
danced on the former "Lawrence
Welk
"Tv show was my dance instructor
for
several years.
While
growing up I played several musical
instruments
. I started with the Violin.
moved
on to an accordion {who knows why}, and then the guitar. I
also can play the piano/organ. One instrument that I have always
wanted to learn to play and have made it a goal in life, is to learn to
play the"Irish Harp"
I
am a divorced , single mom and older then dirt. that says it all
hehe.
I
really enjoy playing RPG's and have beta tested several online networks.
I Originally began playing
online
on the Imagination Network,
and
where I met so many wonderful
friends.
I met my best friend Shar
there
and I'm now the official aunt and soon to be GodMother of her
new
little girl. which I'm so honored
to
be asked , to be.
