Suckling Horror

I converted this over to Deadlands when I ran a CoC adventure for my posse called 'The last voyage of the Ivory Pride' author unknown (quite a good adventure, unfortunately I don't know the url of the site I got it from, and all subsequent attempts to find said site have failed. It may no longer exist...) Whether the suckling horror is designed by them or if it was taken from somewhere else is unknown
This creature is somewhat similar to a Cthulhu Deep one in appearance. It is amphibious and leaves a trail of foul smelling slime wherever it goes.
It will hide and sneak around in shadows waiting until it can get one or two people on their own before attacking.

Deft: 3d8, Nimb: 3d10, Str: 4d10, Quick: 3d12, Vigor: 3d10.
Cog: 3d12, Know: 2d8, Mien: 2d8, Smarts: 2d8, Spirit: 2d6.

Climbing: 2d10, Sneak: 4d10, Fightin'-Brawlin': 3d10.
Claw Attack: 1d8 + Str, Bite: Special.

Size: 7, Terror: 9.

Immune to wind + physical stress.
Draining attack: Bite does Str + 1d8 Damage initially, then reduces the victim's vigor by one die type (recovered at 1 die type per week) that round and each round thereafter. It will continue to drain the victim until his vigor is zero ignoring any attacks made upon it. Each die of vigor it drains increases it's stats by one die type for 2 hours (whch then drop one step per hour). Each die drained will also heal it 1d4 + 2 wounds.

When I ran this originally I had the vigor loss as permanent. If you feel like being cruel convert it back. Fighting on their own terms (ie suprising the posse and getting into close combat straight away) makes these guys pretty damn dangerous (a ratio of 1 suckling horror for each PC is not recommended)
