The year is 2020, but the future is not our own. The cold war lingers on, neither side willing to dismantle their weapons of mass destruction. Very few portions of the U.S. remain under government control. A global megacorporation called Reckon INC. control the world from the shadows. And the dead still won't get back in their graves.
In Hell on Earth(tm): The freaky future Roleplaying game, players take on the roles of hexrunning Hacksters able to interface the giant difference engines that control the machinery of the day, Even madder scientists armed with weird ghost-tech cyberwear, deadly streetfighters, and bitter rival corporate execs.
In 1998, at a gaming convention, the truth was revealed and a gateway to the hunting grounds was opened. The manitous were unleashed again and nothing will be the same again. This is Hell on Earth, and sometimes you're better off Dead. A few relentless heroes have returned from the old west to battle the abominations of this new age and recover the Heart of Darkness from Stone, CEO of Reckon INC.
