Ranma 1/2

Ranma 1/2 is a comedy anime made by the great Rumiko Takahashi (Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku, Inu-Yasha). This is anime that contains a large cast of characters that come in throughout the TV series, movies and OAVs. Ranma Saotome and his father, Genma, are off training above these large poles in the cursed springs of Jusenkyo. Ranma and his father are warned that the waters are cursed but they do not listen. Ranma kicks his father into the cursed spring of the panda. Genma comes out rushing in his panda form and kicked Ranma off his pole into another cursed spring to change into a cute little girl. Now Ranma changes into a girl with cold water and changes back to normal with hot water (same story with father). Ranma and Genma now go into the Tendo household. Genma had promised Ranma to marry one of Soun Tendo's (the father) three sisters, Kasumi, Nabiki and Akane, to forward the School of Anything Goes Martial Arts. The problem is that it was a rainy day so a panda and a cute red-haired girl enter the house. They figure out that it is in face Ranma and Genma but they still think Ranma is just a girl. So Akane makes friends with Ranma. Then later, Ranma changes back into his male form and Akane freaks out. Everything gets sorted out and Kasumi and Nabiki think that Ranma is a big young for them. Everyone agrees that Akane and Ranma should be fiancees. This is a great anime just because Ranma and Akane slowly get closer and you can tell they love each other a lot. They both don't like to show it though.
