Saber Marionette J

Saber Marionette J is an anime where the Earth is dead. The last remaining survivors had to escape the planet to find another suitable planet which they landed in Terra. There was only one female survivor named Lorelai who could not make it to Terra. The ship's computer did not want to let her go so it is holding her captive. That was a long time ago. In present time, the main character, Otaru Mamiya, is on his way to work when his childhood friend, Mitsurugi Hanagata, stops him on the bridge. Hanagata's underlings end up having Otaru get off the bridge and he's in the fast moving river. Otaru gets off outside this museum. He enters to find a picture of a beautiful woman, Lorelai. A trap door opens and he falls through to find all this machinery and to find a marionette inside a capsule. It comes out and reacts to find her new master. This marionette is named Lime. Lime is different than ordinary marionettes because it has a maiden circuit which allows it to feel emotions. Otaru takes her home and this is the start of a big adventure.

Later, Otaru finds two other marionettes with maiden circuits of their own. There is a big story behind all of this. It is a great anime so go out and find it!
