So I was bored.....and I was surfin the web......I came across this website called "Be A True Backstreet Fan : Don't Buy The Book"
For those of you who may not pay attention.....which sounds kinda like me at this point, because I knew about The Book.....I just didn't pay attention....this "Book" is actually 2 books....one by a former g/f of Brian's, and a former g/f of AJ's (I'm sure you guys have heard of Marisa Jackson, she was Johnny Wright's stepdaughter? She and AJ were involved when the BSB got started.)
Now.....I just wanna get this out of the way before I say anything else....I'm backing up this "Don't Buy the Book Campaign" 100 percent.
I give major props to any Backstreet Fan who has started something about it....because, in my opinion, it's just plain WRONG.
There is a line where privacy should become the issue....apparently, some people like to cross this line. Why? Maybe because the guys are at the top of the world right now - and somebody wants to find something...ANYTHING....to make them look bad.
These ex-girlfriends may have their issues with the guys......but is taking it out to paperback REALLY gonna fix anything? These stories should've never been given a chance to gain wind, much less be sold as real reading material. If you buy this book.....or are considering buying it....you're just as much to blame as Marisa and Samantha. You call yourself a fan......but yet you're buying this book...what for? So you can read about how they got into arguments with the Boys? How life on the road was NOT always great.....and that sometimes the Boys were less than thrilled about some things. Shouldn't you know this by now? The Boys aren't perfect.....life on the road isn't always a bowl of cherries....and I can guarantee that not ONE of those Boys is happy 24/7 (well maybe Howie...but that's the perkiness issue...LOL)
So I'm asking you not to buy the book......I can't force you to do anything, you're all intellegient people - at least I'd hope you were. These girls want revenge, and they're gonna get it any way possible - even if it means attempting to trash the reputations of 2 of the 5 guys that we all love so much.
DON'T BUY THE BOOK - BE A TRUE BACKSTREET FAN

To think that both Marissa Jackson and Samantha Stonebraker are using the boys' name just cash in some extra cash, is demeaning, inhuman and thoughtless...what are they trying to prove by writing this books???...This typr of cheap publicity can not only get them into trouble but they are also getting the boys into trouble...how dare they call Marissa and Samantha the boys' girlfriends when they have not an utter single respect for them???...to end this message/complaint/thoughts/whatever, to ALL the Backstreet Boys fans, DON'T BUY THE FREAKING BOOK!

I know NONE of you would ever think of sending something like this to me, but just take a look at some of the 'Hate' mail I have received.
Ok first of all I'd advice you to look into your information before you post these messages. These girlfriend are only putting in these books postitive things

When I found your page I was so pissed of course you obsessed teeny-boppers who whould give up an arm and a leg for a chance to date these boys, I may like their music but that's as far as it goes, I know you have the right of freedom of speech but when you try to influence other people and plant idea's into their heads you've gone too far.
You are infringing on the rights of the two ex-girlfriends who are letting you know that these guys are normal males who are nice people. I could not believe you, you are a down right bitch saying these things. I can't believe you if the boys did not approve of these books I'm sure they would have spoken up, so I suggest you shut your hole an respect other peoples rights.
I for one am buting those books because they sound like some nice bedtime reading material.
These young women went through a lot to right those books for "us" the fans, and your trashing them when you don't even know what is in the books!!!

I read that magazine article that was on your page and I still am supporting the books. Magazines take information twist it around and then they put it on the paper and send it to 'little' children who will believe any 'bulshit' they want to drill into your head to ruin people.
So... when you decide to sen 'hatemail,' remember that it probably will be posted on this site.
i have to agree I am backing this don't buy the book thing 100%. Most things i don't mind to much but they have really crossed the line here. In the first place I think its wrong that they invade the guys privacy but going to there x- girlfriends for the so called 'Juicy news' is going way over board. I am going to help boycott the books the best i can i will do just about anything. The books may be a bunch of bull or not but I don't care which it is because we don't have any right what so ever to know about the guys private lives let alone from there x- g/f's. I mean how would you like it if someone went to your x boyfriend that you had gone out with for years and made a book about it! I wouldn't want that knowing that now the whole world knows the truth about my private life mixed in with alot of horrible lies! This book could really bring Backstreet down. So if your a true fan don't buy it! And support or boys till the end, i mean look at all they've done for us. They may not have not but they have done alot for me and probably a lot of other people to threw there music, honesty and compassion for others. So please listen and don't buy the book!
