Resident Evil for Sega Saturn

Although released more then a year after the Playstation version, Resident Evil is still alive and strong. Even though its graphics aren't as good as the PSX version, it still shines good as one of the best Saturn games to date.

Ratings

Guide= 0 (why even bother) - 5 (this is a game?)

Graphics=4.5 - The graphics in this version aren't as clear as in the previous. The backgrounds still look great and so does the blood, but the characters really look pixalated when far away. You hardly notice this though as you play through the game.

Sound=4.0 - The music and sound effects seem to have remained pretty much the same since the other version. They sometimes, however, seem distant and mute in some areas. Plus the sound effects aren't always in sink, say with the footsteps. The voices are still, though annoying, "B" movie quality, which is good.

Control=4.5 - Slightly better then the PSX version, the saturn control pad seems to handle the movement and running fairly good. The aiming, however, is still as hard as ever.

Overall=4.0 - Though it's not as good as the PSX version, I have to say that I am glad that Capcom decided to release a version for the saturn. This is definatly one of the best games on the saturn to date. Now if only they'll port over RE2....hmmm.
