Balor of the One Eye

Balor of the One Eye is a deity of great evil and one of the oldest within the Garaleyern pantheon.
He was the ruler of the Garaleyern lands in times of old and his followers the Formorions enforced his rulership. Eventually the gods raised against him and he was banished by Lugh the Shining one after Lugh flung a stone into Balors eye. Soon after this the Formorions were overthrown by the humans.  Over the many years Balor in his banishment started to grow back in power and planned to make his return. In recent years he managed to do so and soon gained followers not only among Formorions but among humans as well.
Roleplaying Notes
Balor is a deity oppressed with power and will use any means to get it. He is ruthless in nature and expects his followers to be the same. Balor however is extremely cunning and patient which means he is willing to wait for many centuries for his plans to blossom.
He has a distinct hatred of the other gods and beliefs it is his right to rule. His two greatest enemies are Lugh and Diancecht and he plans there destruction.

Balors Avatar (Warrior 26th, Wizard 26th)
Balor appears as a tall figure between twelve and 20 feet tall. He is usually cloaked in black. He has from his head either a single horn or two horns. His skin is dark and leathery. His right eye glows an intense red colour and his left eye is covered by a eye patch. He usually carries either a spear or a large sword which he put to good use.

Special Att/Def: Balor can both cast magic and attack in the same round. He is immune to all forms of illusion, mental and sleep attacks and takes only minimum damage from all forms of heat and electricity.

Duties of the Priesthood
The priesthood of Balor seeks to gain power through whatever means. They infiltrate other organisations and usurp positions. They collect great wealth to be used in the future and they are all readying themselves for the day they can reclaim the Garaleyern lands. If given the opportunity they are to slay the followers of Lugh and Diancecht but not if it will jeopardise other plans.
