(The new Weekend Rumble opening plays. The IWA logo appears on screen as the music plays and the new opening continues. The logo spins off screen and the camera switches to a packed arena in Los Angeles, California. It switches to a shot of the ringside commentators' booth and Rick Miller and Eddie Reagan.)
Rick: Wow, look at this sold-out arena! These fans are ready for another great night of IWA action!
Eddie: And this is a special night, Rick. This is our first ever Weekend Rumble card. And we've got some important matches coming up.
Rick: Very important, Eddie. In our main event, we'll have our newly crowned IWA tag team champions, the Hell's Angels, defending against a very dangerous team in the Suicide Kings, Fabul and Kristian Chaos.
Eddie: It could be a very short reign for the Hell's Angels. The Suicide Kings are a fearless team.
Rick: We'll just have to wait and see, Eddie. But I think you and I are both looking forward to that one. In addition to that great match, you will see many of our greatest up and comers in action. Three of the Nighthawks will be in action tonight. Along with R.J. Harris, the International champion, taking on a mystery opponent.
Eddie: I wonder who that will be. I'm betting Trent Phillips.
Rick: Wouldn't that be something? Phillips introduced his group, the Unholy Trinity, just this past weekend. They'd love to add the International title to their trophy room.
Eddie: Enough talking, jeez. Let's get to the ring!
Rick: Fair enough. Here we go.
(Impulse comes to the ring first, then Zeus. The bell sounds as both men walk toward one another. Impulse takes the advantage with a quick left and then several right hands. Zeus goes to one knee as Impulse hits him with a big knee and puts him down. Impulse is over him, choking him out.)
Rick: The referee is telling him to get off, but Impulse doesn't seem to care.
Eddie: These two don't have much regard for the rules. That's what hardcore means.
(In the ring, Impulse is yelling at the ref for making him break the choke and Zeus hits him from behind with a low blow. Zeus gets a running start and hits the stunned Impulse with a lariat. He then proceeds to stomp on the man repeatedly until Impulse is inclined to roll out of the ring to gather himself. Zeus is quick to follow.)
Rick: Uh oh, looks like this fight is going to the outside.
Eddie: This is where both men excel.
(The ref begins to count the two men out, 1 2.. Zeus catches Impulse and begins pounding him once again. Impulse gets to his feet and begins fighting back. The two men exchange blows and Impulse wins out, stunning Zeus with an especially potent right hand. He takes Zeus' head and pounds into the steel guard railing, then whips him into the ring post. Impulse stomps him down until Zeus is flat on his back. The ref continues, 3 .4 .5 .6 Impulse forces Zeus up to his feet and puts him down again with a DDT. As the ref's count is about to reach ten, Impulse rolls in the ring to restart it. He goes back to the outside as Zeus scrambles to his feet. He walks away from Impulse and goes around the corner of the ring by the screaming fans. He slides into the ring and waits. As Impulse follows, Zeus hits him with several kicks, taking the advantage. He picks him up and hits a cradle DDT. He goes for the cover, 1 2 kick out. Zeus starts arguing with the ref. Impulse gets to his feet and comes up from behind Zeus. He rolls him into a schoolboy pin, 1 ..2 .3.)
Eddie: All right, Impulse! He stole won there. I respect that.
Rick: A hard fought win for Impulse here in the first ever Weekend Rumble match. Zeus probably thought he had him there. Let's take a break. When we come back, we have several more great matches for you.
Rick: All right, fans, here comes Jack Dempsey for an interview.
(Living on the edge plays as the IWA number #1 contender, Jack Dempsey, makes a grand entry to the ring. Dempsey grabs a mic and speaks.)
Jack: Well, I've made it to the top. I'm the number one contender in the IWA. I took a while, but I finally made it, on my own. Up next, the IWA title. But, what about Mean Mike? Mean Mike has been busy lately, but soon, he will climb to the top of the IWA, just like I have.
(Jack turns to face the ring entrance.)
Jack: Yo, Magna, a deal's a deal. Bring me out a beer.
(Magna walks out. He stops 5 feet from the ring, and throws a Coors light to Jack. Jack catches the beer. Magna turns around and heads back to the locker room.)
Jack: Wait a second Magna, I've got something to say.
(Magna turns around. Jack opens the beer and chugs it down.)
Jack: Magna, you know what I'm capable of now, so stop talkin' smack about me. And after tonight, I don't want you to be my "beer boy" anymore... on one condition... our feud is over, the score ends 2-0 for me. Now, you can go.
(Magna continues to the back. Jack continues.)
Jack: Now, back to the IWA title situation. Whenever the title's going to be decided, you know I'll be there. After all, I am the number one contender. And, I will take my condency and I will win the belt.
(Jack throws the mic and heads for the back.)
Eddie: I can't believe Magna puts up with that.
Rick: He doesn't have much choice. He's lost two matches to Jack, one with the stipulation that Magna would have to be a waterboy in the event of a loss. But he's got a chance for revenge right here.
Eddie: A little bit anyway.
Rick: It's Mean Mike Dempsey, Jack's brother, and Magna, coming up right now.
(The Nighthawks theme plays as Magna makes his way to the ring. He is accompanied by the other three Nighthawks, Tanis, Element, and Vukota. The crowd boos quite loudly. Magna gets in the ring as the other three take positions around it.)
Eddie: Looks like the whole team is out tonight. And everyone but Element has their gear on.
Rick: But I don't believe for a second that Element isn't a capable fighter just because he doesn't have his wrestling boots on.
(Mean Mike Dempsey makes his way to the ring, glaring at the gathered wrestlers there. The bell sounds and the two men lock it up. The both demonstrate their power as they move each other around the ring. Magna applies a front chancery and bears down on it. Dempsey drives Magna into the turnbuckle, getting out of the hold. He begins nailing Magna with hard lefts and rights. He gets on the second turnbuckle and hits him over and over as the crowd counts off the blows. Finally, he throws a dazed Magna on his face. Mean Mike begins walking around the ring and gloating as Magna dives his legs and knocks him down. Magna gets to his feet and pulls up Dempsey. He hoists him and hits a jumping piledriver. Magna begins choking the man out and the ref breaks up the hold. Both men get to their feet and begin pacing around each other.)
Rick: Good match. Both men are so strong.
(The two men lock it up once more. Mike takes the advantage with a full arm twist. Magna quickly reverses it to an arm twist of his own. He gets some slack in the arm and then pulls it stiff, causing some damage. Tiring of submission wrestling, Magna throws Dempsey into the ropes and hits a huge powerslam. He goes for the cover, 1 2 kick out. Magna pulls him up and throws him into the corner. He hoists him into a sitting position on the top turnbuckle. Magna goes up after him and tries to go for a superplex, but Mean Mike holds on to the ropes. Mike punches him off, then nails a massive tornado DDT. He goes for a cover of his own, 1 2 kick out. Dempsey picks up a hurt Magna and tosses him into the ropes. He hits a back bodydrop, then quickly turns around and sets up Magna for the Dempsey Death Lock. He locks it on and sits back. Magna screams out in pain.)
Rick: Oh, it could be over right here. That's Mike's finisher!
Eddie: Magna's not giving up. He could come out of this with a broken leg if he doesn't tap out.
(Element is up on the opposite apron. The ref comes over to tell him to get off. From the opposite side, Tanis slides into the ring. He runs up to Dempsey, who still has the hold applied, and KOs him with a foreign object of some kind. Dempsey instantly falls flat on his face, blood appearing on his brow. Tanis slides out of the ring as the ref turns around just a second too late. Some of the crowd throws garbage at the ring. Magna limps to the top turnbuckle and executes the Magna Drop. He covers and the ref counts, 1 2 3.)
Rick: Oh, what a disappointment for Mean Mike. He almost had what would have been a big win for him.
Eddie: But what about Magna? That's his first win in the IWA after a couple of close calls. Sure, he had some help. But, like I always say, it ain't wrong unless you get caught. He got the 1-2-3 and that's all that matters.
Rick: Fans, we need to take a break. We'll be right back.
Rick: Welcome back, fans. Eddie, we've already had a couple of great matches, and we have some very exciting ones coming up.
Eddie: But first a Neurosis match.
Rick: Eddie, you're gonna get yourself hurt again. Up next Neurosis will go against a man who's been very impressive as of late, the Nighthawks' "enforcer", Vukota.
(The Nighthawks' music plays and, once again, all four men come out together. Vukota gets in the ring, takes off his hockey jersey, and yells at the crowd. Neurosis' music plays and he comes out to a mixture of cheers and boos. The bell sounds and the two men circle each other. Neither seems to want to mix it up with the other.)
Rick: Vukota is a big guy, but Neurosis is even bigger. I mean, there is so much strength in that ring right now.
(They tie up, both men trying to push the other down. They push back and forth, but Vukota wins out and sends Neurosis flying back. Neurosis gets back to his feet and ties up again. He shoves Vukota back this time. Both men stare at each other and begin circling once again. Neurosis runs in and clotheslines the rookie, sending him down. As if he had simply snapped, Neurosis pounces on Vukota, hitting him with lefts and rights. The ref tries to tell him to open up the closed fist, but Neurosis shoves him away. Vukota finally powers his way out and begins exchanging blows with the big man. Once Vukota has him rocked just enough he takes him and lifts him all the way up and hits a suplex. The crowd is stunned by the maneuver. Vukota picks him up again and this time hits an unbelievable powerbomb. The Nighthawks clap outside the ring.)
Eddie: That's amazing! What power!
(Vukota goes for the cover, 1 2 kick out. Neurosis, still hurt, nails Vukota with a low blow and quickly hits a DDT. He goes for a cover of his own, 1..kick out. Neurosis stays on him. He throws Vukota down, then applies a camel clutch. From the outside, Element pulls on Vukota's outstretched leg and pulls him to the ropes. The ref doesn't see it and he makes Neurosis break the hold. Unphased, Neurosis hits him with a scoop slam, then several boots to the face and chest. Vukota rolls out of the ring.)
Rick: Smart move. Vukota needs to regroup here.
(Tanis and Element walk over to Vukota and give him some advice. Vukota gathers himself then gets onto the apron. Neurosis walks over to him and Vukota grabs him and drops back to the floor, dropping Neurosis over the top rope. Now Vukota slides in and begins pounding the man. He hits him with several punches before Neurosis makes it to his feet. Vukota leaps and nails him with a dropkick. Neurosis topples over the ropes. Alertly, Vukota begins talking to the ref as Magna commences beating on the Misfit. After a solid beating, Magna slides Neurosis into the ring, and Vukota covers him, 1 2 kick out. Vukota picks up Neurosis and hits him with a knee lift, then another. Neurosis falls flat on his back. Vukota walks around the ring pointing toward the crowd. He walks up to Neurosis and starts to pull him to his feet. Neurosis takes the advantage with a couple punches to the midsection. He then nails an uppercut that knocks Vukota right off his feet. He picks up the hockey player and hits another DDT. He goes for the cover, 1 2 .kick out.)
Rick: What a match. Neither man wants to lose this one. These two are putting up quite a fight.
(Neurosis keeps control by whipping Vukota into a corner. He begins grounding him with knees and elbows. After several blows with Vukota on the ground, Neurosis lifts him and executes a belly-to-belly suplex. He goes for yet another cover, 1 2 kick out. Vukota scrambles to his feet as Neurosis charges after him. Vukota hits him with a drop toehold and begins pounding the back of Neurosis' head with his right elbow. Now he picks him up and throws him into the ropes. Vukota catches him in a position to finish him with his sidewalk slam finisher, the Power Play. But Neurosis slides all the way over the man, and rolls him up into a pin, 1 .2 .3!)
Rick: Unbelievable! Vukota has to be crushed. He nearly pulled off a big upset.
(The Nighthawks enter the ring now. Tanis and Element pull Neurosis up and execute a double suplex. They start pounding on him. The crowd boos. The Crazy Ones run in from the back and clear the ring. The Nighthawks help an exhausted Vukota to the back.)
Rick: It's a good thing the Crazy Ones were in town. Neurosis could have been in real trouble there. Let's get to our next match.
(The massive Titan walks out from the back first to his music. He enters the ring looking especially ticked off accompanied by Kimona Wanalaya. Then, for the third time tonight, the Nighthawks music plays, and, for the third time tonight, all four Nighthawks make their way to the ring. This time, all four Nighthawks enter the ring and Titan retreats to the floor. Tanis calls for the mic and gets it.)
Tanis: Cut our music. I have to get some issues sorted out here.
(The music stops as Tanis clears his throat.)
Tanis: Okay, before I take care of this fat bastard, I'd like to talk to you all about R.J. Harris and his International title. They say I've been granted a shot at that title on Monday night. All I have to say is, about time. Mike Vincent, good to see you doing your job. And, Harris, I'm going to be doing a little commentating during your match. I'll see you on Monday, if you can hold on to that strap.
(Tanis turns and looks at the fans.)
Tanis: Why aren't you people cheering the single greatest hero in the IWA? The man here to save you from watching evil triumph?
(They boo loudly.)
Tanis: I never liked LA anyway. After Tuesday, all of you will be watching me on television and I'll have the IWA International belt tight around my waist. So, Titan, get your ass in here because I'm starting with you.
(He tosses the mic to the ring announcer on the outside and the other Nighthawks clear the ring as Titan re-enters.)
Eddie: Will Tanis ever just shuttup and fight?
Rick: Not until someone shuts him up, Eddie.
(The bell finally sounds to start the match. Tanis arrogantly walks up to the big man and slaps him in the face. Titan wastes no time in spitting on the smaller man, then beginning the beat down. He hits him with several right hands and chops, knocking Tanis completely down. Titan bounces off the ropes and drops a big elbow on him. He goes for the cover, 1..kick out. Tanis rolls away from Titan. The big man gives chase. Tanis slows him a kick to the midsection, then drops him with a second rope bulldog. Tanis stomps on the man's head five times, then turns and flexes to the crowd. They, in turn, boo. Tanis drag Titan to his feet and goes for a scoop slam, but Titan is too heavy and simply falls on him. The ref counts, 1 kick out. Tanis gets to his feet and begins kicking the knee of Titan. First a straight kick, then a roundhouse. Titan buckles and goes to one knee. Tanis punches the man in the face and knocks him down. Tanis walks around and boasts as Titan gets to his feet. The big man shoves Tanis into the corner and starts to choke him out. The ref counts, 1 .2 .3 .4. Titan finally lets go. Tanis collapses, trying to breathe. Titan picks him up and tries to throw Tanis into the ropes, but Tanis reverses it and throws Titan the other way, right into the ref. The ref goes down hard and does not move.)
Rick: This is not good. Anything can happen now.
Eddie: Neither of these men are above cheating to win.
(Kimona tries to get on the apron, but Magna stops her. Titan goes to stop Magna and doesn't see Tanis pulling a foreign object from his boot. Titan turns around just in time to get haymakered with the object right between the eyes. He drops like a rock. Tanis tosses the object to Vukota and smiles and flexes for the crowd. He then drags Titan to the middle of the ring. Hooking one leg and turning the man over, Tanis sits back on a single leg crab submission hold.)
Eddie: That's his new finisher, right? What does he call it, the Hawk's Talon or something like that?
Rick: Who cares what he calls it, Eddie? This move isn't why he's going to win.
(Element wakes up the ref. The man in the stripes walks over and begins asking Titan if he wants to submit, but the man is out cold. The ref raises and drops his arm three times. He calls for the bell.)
Rick: So the Nighthawks go 2-1 in the first ever Weekend Rumble card and they have an even bigger night tomorrow on Rush. Tanis has an International title shot and Element has a NeWA US Title shot. We'll be right back for the first half of our double main event.
Rick: Okay, here we go, our first title match of the evening. It'll be R.J. Harris against our mystery man. Eddie has already guessed that it would be Trent Phillips. I'll go out on a limb and guess Element. Fans at home, feel free to venture a guess of your own. I mean, if you're wrong, at least it won't be forever captured on tape like our guesses. Let's head to the ring.
(The mystery man comes out to no music. He wears a mask and comes out alone. Harris comes to the ring to a big pop. He carries his International title over his shoulder as he enters the ring. The ref holds the belt high and signals for the bell. It rings and the two men instantly start at each other. The masked man takes the advantage throwing the other into the ropes and knocking him out of the ring with a lariat. The mystery opponent does not pause. He bounces off the far ropes and does a suicide dive onto Harris, knocking both men down. Harris actually gets to his feet first. He slams the masked man's head into the steel guard railing. The ref urges the fighters to get in the ring and decides to begin his count, 1 2 .3 4. Harris stays on the offense, whipping the masked man into the steel guard railing. But somehow the masked man pops up. He grabs Harris and drives him into the ringpost. He grabs Harris' hair and begins pounding his head into the railing behind him. The ref continues, 5 .6 .7 .8. The masked man slides Harris into the ring. He goes onto the apron, then climbs the turnbuckle. He stands high on top and raises his arms, but Harris was playing patsy and pops to his feet. He runs at the masked man and pushes him off the top rope. The masked man flies back as the crowd gasps and camera flashes go off. He falls all the way down to the floor and lands on his back.)
Rick: Oh my Lord!
Eddie: That's it. One mistake and this match is all but over.
(Harris goes to the outside and picks up the masked man. He slides him in the ring and follows soon after. Harris executes the Broken Heart and goes for the cover, 1 2 3.)
(Harris' music plays and he begins to celebrate. He raises the belt above his head. But the masked man isn't done. He's gets to his feet and starts beating on R.J. Harris. He then takes off his mask and begins choking Harris out with it.)
Rick: The masked man was Fabul!
Eddie: No wonder he went for that insane top rope move. It's Fabul of the Unholy Trinity.
Rick: He has a match for the tag titles in our main event. This isn't smart!
(Harris nails Fabul with a back elbow and turns around. The two men begin exchanging blows. They continue to throw punches back and forth until Kristian Chaos and the Original Sheik come out to stop Fabul from tiring himself out anymore.)
(The camera cuts to a shot of Rick Miller and Eddie Reagan.)
Rick:It's been quite a night so far, Eddie. And we have one more match coming up. Thoughts?
Eddie: Well, coming into the night, I was sure that the Suicide Kings were going to take the titles. But after what just happened to Fabul, I'm taking the Hell's Angels.
Rick: Okay, we're now going back to the ring and our ring announcer for our main event.
(The bell rings three times.)
Ring Announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, this is our main event. It is for the IWA Tag Team belts. Coming to the ring first, at a combined weight of 453 pounds, and accompanied by the Original Sheik, the Suicide Kings!
(Fabul and Kristian Chaos make their way to the ring. Sheik walks with them, talking to the fans and pointing at his team. Fabul is drenched in sweat, but has a very determined look on his face.)
Rick: Fans, when we come back from our last commercial break, the entrance of our tag team champs.
(The Hell's Angels music plays as the show comes back.)
Announcer: And now entering the ring area, at a combined weight of 452 pounds, the IWA Tag Team Champions, the Hell's Angels!
(Fire and Hellbender enter the ring and have a few last words with each other. They look very focused. Chaos is talking to the fans, and Fabul is holding his head.)
Rick: Well, here we go.
Eddie: It looks like Hellbender and Chaos are going to start.
(The bell sounds as the two men circle each other. Chaos starts on the offense with a kick to the midsection. He leg dives the bigger Hellbender, then gets up and starts to kick the knee. Hellbender kicks him with the other leg and gets to his feet. He quickly tags Fire and the two men lock hand and double clothesline Chaos. They take turns kicking him down until the ref makes Hellbender leave the ring. Fire picks up Kristian and hits a brainbuster. He goes for the cover, 1 2 kick out. Kristian quickly rakes the eyes of his opponent and glares over at Fabul, who didn't enter the ring during the cover. Kristian then hits a backbody suplex. He goes and tags Fabul. Fabul runs in and hits a flying cross bodyblock. He has the option of a cover, but pulls off and starts to pound on Fire with right hands. Suddenly, loud boos are heard from the crowd as many of them stand and look at the ring entrance.)
Rick: Now what are they doing here?
Eddie: Everytime there's a good match . . .
(The Nighthawks, Vukota, Tanis, Magna, and Element, walk down to ringside. They spread out and begin pounding the mat. Meanwhile, Fabul is in control, throwing Fire to the ropes then following and hitting a springboard bulldog. The Nighthawks clap in unison.)
Rick: They're out here to cheer on the Suicide Kings? I don't know if I understand what's going on here.
Eddie: I don't trust them.
(Fabul applies a boston crab. Fire screams out in pain. After about ten seconds in the painful hold, he makes it to the ropes and Fabul releases the hold. Fire quickly turns around and kicks Fabul in the knee from his back. He executes a quick leg drop, then rolls off and tags his partner, Hellbender. The two men run in and double team a member of the Suicide Kings again. They hit him with kicks and punches, before pulling him up and executing a double powerbomb. Hellbender goes for the cover, 1 .2 .Chaos makes the save. Fire and Chaos begin exchanging blows. The ref goes over to the two men and tries to get them to leave the ring and go to their respective corners. Meanwhile, Fire pulls a set of brass knuckles from his trunks. He punches Fabul three or four times right between the eyes with them, then tosses them outside of the ring. The ref turns around as Hellbender makes the cover, 1 2 3.)
(Tanis runs in the ring and shows the ref the set of brass knuckles that Hellbender used and jumps up and down, frantically explaining what happened. The ref shakes his head. He doesn't believe him. Tanis puts on the brass knuckles and begins hitting an exhausted Hellbender with them. The other Nighthawks enter the ring and look on with interest. Chaos runs in and pulls Tanis off of Hellbender.)
Rick: Looks like the Midnite Mayor wants an explanation! I don't think he wants Tanis' help.
(Fire pulls Hellbender out of the ring as the two men celebrate their victories by holding their belts up all the way back to the entry area. In the ring, Tanis and the Nighthawks are trying to explain their motives to the Unholy Trinity.)
Rick: Fans, that's all the time we have! Thanks for joining us for our first ever Weekend Rumble show. We'll see you all on Rush!
(The IWA logo appears on screen, then the copyright laws. Scene fades to black.)
