Weekend Rumble
January 9, in Sudbury, Ontario.

(The Weekend Rumble opening plays. The IWA logo plays and the music plays as the opening continues. The logo spins off screen and the camera switches to a shot of sold out arena. The fans cheer wildly as the camera switches to a shot of the ringside commentators' booth with Rick Miller and Eddie Reagan sitting in their seats.)

Rick: Fans, welcome back to another great weekend of wrestling action. You're watching the IWA Weekend Rumble show and do we have a big show for you tonight!

Eddie: That's right, Rick. The IWA is bigger and better than ever. And, tonight, the action gets hotter!

Rick: Eddie, our main event will feature a Misfit going up against a Nighthawk for the IWA Northern title. It'll be Element and Neurosis.

Eddie: Neurosis beat Vukota in a close one last week. He's up against a much more experienced opponent this week. I understand there will be two referees to ensure a fair match.

Rick: Along with that, Eddie, we'll see the IWA Tag Team champs, the Hell's Angels, in action against the Hellraza team and former NeWA World champs, Maximum Carnage. Eddie, once again, all four Nighthawks will be in action.

Eddie: These guys stay busy, you gotta give them that.

Rick: And we also have a Cruiserweight title match between champion Hyuk Suh Kim and newcomer Crono. Right now, though, we have a match between Kristian Chaos and Magna, a member of the Nighthawks. Let's go to the ring!

Kristian Chaos vs. Magna

(Kristian Chaos of the Unholy Trinity comes out first, walking to the ring to a nice sized ovation. Then, the Nighthawks theme plays, and Magna appears in the entryway. Along side him is Tanis. The two men walk down to the ring to a chorus of boos and both of them enter. Chaos rolls out of the ring onto the floor. Tanis calls for the mic.)

Tanis: You know, Chaos, I'm getting really sick of hearing you whine and cry for a match with me. You think you're at my level? You think you deserve to be in the same ring with the great one? Well, we both know that you're not at that level. But I'm a fair guy, an equal opportunist. I am the greatest hero in the history of the IWA.

(The boos are almost deafening.)

Tanis: So, since I am so heroic, I'm going to give you your match, Kristian Chaos. Tonight, you and I. I've already talked to Magna, and he doesn't have a problem with it. Tonight, you're going to find out what the Nighthawks are all about!

(Tanis drops the mic and leaves along with Magna. Kristian Chaos goes in the ring and climbs a turnbuckle, raising his arms. The fans applaud and he leaves soon after.)

Rick: Well, how about that?

Eddie: All right! This night keeps getting better and better!

Rick: Tanis versus Kristian Chaos tonight! Folks, what can we say? A pay-per-view quality match on free television. That's what we're all about. But, Eddie, it seems to me that Tanis has a match against Buzz Tyler earlier in the night.

Eddie: I guess he thinks he can fight two men in the same night.

Rick: Or he has something up his sleeve.

Eddie: What's next? What's next?

Rick: Our cruiserweight title match. Let's see how this one plays out.

IWA Cruiserweight title match
Hyuk Suh Kim(c) vs. Crono

(Crono comes to the ring first with his manager, Jobo Rocker. Then, the sound of wind blowing fills the arena. As Hyuk's music starts, the cruiserweight champion makes his way down to the ring. The bell sounds. Crono circles him, hands extended. Hyuk stands upright and still, observing his opponent. Finally, the two men lock up. Crono overpowers Hyuk and gets him in a side headlock. He holds him there for several seconds before sending Hyuk into the ropes. Hyuk hooks the ropes and stops his momentum. He quickly snaps off three sidekicks at Crono, connecting on all of them and wowing the crowd. Crono collapses and Hyuk is over him immediately. Hyuk sits down on the left leg and pulls up on it, trying to hyperextend Crono's knee. Crono practically screams his surrender.)

Your winner, and still IWA Cruiserweight champion, Hyuk Suh Kim, in :51

Rick: Oh my Lord. It's over.

Eddie: What a devastating submission move Hyuk used there. Crono is going to need some help leaving the ring.

Rick: Hyuk Suh Kim continues to impress on Weekend Rumble. All right, Eddie, we're going to take a break. When we come back, we have many more great matches.

______________________Commercials______________________

Rick: We're back and heading to the ring.

Vukota vs. Mean Mike Dempsey

(The Nighthawks theme plays and Vukota comes out alone. He walks to the ring with his hockey stick and hockey jersey. He leaves the stick outside of the ring and gives the jersey to the ring girl. Mean Mike Dempsey comes out second. The bell sounds and the two men lock up. Vukota hits Mike with a big knee, then a right hand. Mike fires back, and the crowd cheers as the two men wail back and forth on each other. Vukota takes the advantage with an eye rake. Then the former IHLer scoops the man up and hits a jumping powerslam. He starts to choke the man out.)

Eddie: Boy, Vukota is a mean guy.

(Mike powers his way to his feet. He takes Vukota and throws him into the ropes. He runs after him and hits a lariat, knocking Vukota from the ring. Mike follows him out and the ref begins his count, 1…2. Dempsey tries to hit Vukota's head into the steel guard railing, but Vukota puts a hand down and blocks the attempt. Vukota shoves Mike off of him. Mean Mike charges at Vukota who has his back to the railing. Vukota uses a drop toehold to have Mike hit his face into the railing. The ref continues, 3…4…5…6. Vukota scoops up Mike and rolls him into the ring. Climbing up to the apron, Vukota launches himself over the ropes and hits a splash on Mike. The ref counts, 1…2..kick out. Mike tries to escape, crawling for the edge of the ring. Vukota grabs a foot and pulls him to the center of the ring. He crawls over him and nails Mike Dempsey with several right hands. Vukota pulls Mean Mike to his feet and throws him into the ropes. When Dempsey returns to him, Vukota scoops him up and slams him down with the Power Play. Vukota goes for the cover, 1…2…3.)

Your winner, Vukota, in 8:44

Rick: Wow. Another impressive victory for Vukota.

Eddie: The Nighthawks own Mean Mike Dempsey. They've beaten him twice is as many weeks.

Rick: Next we have that Tanis-Tyler match. Let's see what's going on here.

Tanis vs. Buzz Tyler

(Buzz Tyler comes to the ring first, looking very determined. He bounces up and down and points the entry area where Tanis will be coming out shortly. The Nighthawk theme starts up. It goes for several seconds before all four Nighthawks appear in the entryway. The four men get into the ring as Buzz bails to the floor and start pointing at the crowd. They boo mercilessly. Tanis calls for the mic.)

Tanis: You know, Buzz Tyler, why don't you get in the ring? The Nighthawks and I have something to talk to you about.

Rick: Oh, Buzz, don't trust these guys.

(After pausing for a few seconds, Buzz climbs in the ring, watching all sides. The Nighthawks don't make a move to attack him, but rather stand around him as he comes before Tanis.)

Tanis: Buzz, I was scheduled to fight you here tonight. And, if you want, I still will. But I think I have something even more interesting for you.

(He pauses, as Element tosses him a T-shirt.)

Tanis: Buzz, the Nighthawks are a team. We fight together, we travel together, and we think together. Now, Buzz, I don't want to put you in a hard position here.

(Vukota crosses his arms and steps forward.)

Tanis: What we're asking here is really pretty simple. Why don't you come and join us?

(Tanis tosses Buzz Tyler the T-shirt first and then the microphone. Buzz pauses, looking out at the crowd. They urge him not to join.)

Buzz: Tanis, I want a belt more than anyone. And I think the Nighthawks can help me and I want to help them. I'm in!

(He puts on the shirt as the Nighthawks come up and congratulate him. Tanis, meanwhile, takes the microphone back.)

Tanis: Do you see this, Misfits? The Nighthawks aren't about the individual. We're about being a team. And, as for you, Kristian Chaos, be on the look out, because the hawk is watching!

(He drops the mic as the Nighthawks theme starts again. All five men leave the ring and head back to the locker room.)

Rick: So another one bites the dust.

Eddie: The newest member of the Nighthawks, Buzz Tyler. Never would of thunk it.

____________________Commercials____________________

Rick: Fans, we're back. Our next match features Josh Simcox and Jack Dempsey, a rivalry that has been going for several months.

Jack Dempsey vs. Josh Simcox

(Josh Simcox comes out first, then Jack Dempsey. The bell sounds and two men charge at each other. They begin exchanging blows immediately. The throw punch after punch. Dempsey finally tires of it and whips Simcox into a corner. He follows, running after him, but Simcox moves out of the way. Dempsey hits the corner hard and Simcox runs him over with a lariat. He immediately starts stomping the man.)

Eddie: You know what I love about this match? No fancy moves, no technical crap, just all out brawling. It's great!

(Dempsey gets to his feet and grabs Josh. He hits him with a big knee, then executes a DDT. He picks him up by his hair, then levels him with several chest chops. As he leans down to pick up Josh again, Simcox hits him with a low blow, taking the advantage. Simcox picks him up and hits a scoop slam, then starts with more stomps. Dempsey shrugs off the blows and gets to his feet. Simcox swings at him, but Dempsey ducks. Jack takes the man's legs out from under him and hits a sidewalk slam. He goes for a cover, 1…2…kick out.)

Rick: Oh! We almost had a winner there.

(Simcox rolls to his feet slowly. He tries to punch Dempsey again, but Jack grabs Josh's arm, pulls him close, and hits a belly-to-belly suplex. Jack drags him to the nearest corner, and goes up top for the Dempsey Death Drop. He hits the DDD and goes for a cover, 1….2…..3.)

Your winner, Jack Dempsey, in 9:33

Rick: Well, another win for Jack Dempsey. And another loss for Josh Simcox. He continues to struggle.

Eddie: Sometimes those guys just get in a slump. Josh should consider taking some time off and getting everything back together. Maybe get a manager.

Rick: All right, fans, we still have three great matches for you. The first of which wasn't even scheduled for tonight. But we're bringing it to you anyway! So here we go, it's Kristian Chaos versus Tanis!

Kristian Chaos vs. Tanis

(Chaos comes out first, looking very confident and ready. The Nighthawks theme starts, and Tanis comes out by himself. He gets to the ring and the bell sounds. A loud murmur goes through the crowd as the two men lock it up.)

Rick: There's so much electricity going around this match. The crowd is really into it. These two have both been so hot as of late.

(Chaos starts off by twisting Tanis' arm. He holds Tanis in the painful position for several seconds before Tanis reverses it and twists KC's arm. Tanis pulls KC's arm and hits him with a clothesline. Tanis leans down to pick him up, but Chaos knocks his hands away and kicks him in the midsection. He then grabs Tanis and hits a vertical suplex. Both men pop to their feet, but Kristian is quicker and keeps the advantage with an eye rake. He then executes a scoop slam. He covers, 1…kick out. Tanis hits KC with a blatant low blow. Now he gets up and levels the smaller man with a big right hand. Picking KC up, Tanis hits a scary powerbomb. He goes for a cover of his own, 1…kick out.)

Rick: These two men both have such great endurance.

Eddie: They're great athletes, Rick.

(Tanis hits KC with another right hand, then takes him by the trunks, and throws him between the ropes and out of the ring. He flexes for the crowd. After they start booing, he goes out of the ring after his downed opponent. The ref starts his 10 count. Chaos is on his feet as Tanis joins him on the outside. He hits Tanis with several punches, then whips him into the guard railing. KC tries to stomp Tanis out, but Tanis grabs his foot in mid-stomp and throws him back. Tanis picks him up and drags him to the steel steps. He hits KC's head on the steps. Tanis walks by the screaming fans and goes to the ring announcer. He throws the man off his chair and takes the steel fold-up chair and slides it into the ring.)

Rick: Uh oh.

(Tanis picks up Kristian and rolls him into the ring. Tanis follows just in time to avoid a count out. Tanis tries to pick up KC again, but Chaos hits Tanis with an elbow, and then a reverse Russian leg sweep. KC gets up and points at the crowd. He then walks over to the steel chair and picks it up. The crowd is on its feet, cheering for Chaos to waffle Tanis with the chair. The ref warns him not to. Tanis gets to his knees and begs for KC not to hit him.)

Eddie: Hit him! Hit him!

(Kristian brings the chair way over his head, but the ref is behind him. The ref grabs ahold of the chair! KC turns around, struggling with the ref for control of the chair. Meanwhile, Tanis runs into the back of KC. The chair collides with both the face of the referee and Kristian Chaos. The ref falls unconscious.)

Rick: Oh my! Now anything goes!

(Tanis picks up a very woozy Chaos. He uses his foot to slide the chair to the middle of the ring. He's about to DDT the man onto the chair, but Chaos punches him in the stomach. He then grabs Tanis and executes the Insomniac onto the steel chair!)

Eddie: Oh wow! Did you see that?

(Tanis is out. Chaos covers him, but the ref is still out.)

Rick: Oh, this is ridiculous. The ref could have counted to seven for that count. Wait, what's this? Here comes Trent Phillips!

Eddie: What's he doing here?

(The crowd is still standing as Phillips hits the ring. Chaos doesn't even see him as he hits a big boot to the back of KC's head. He then scoops up the chair and delivers a chair shot. KC is out. Trent slides the chair out of the ring, and walks over to the ref and wakes him up with a few slaps to the face. Phillips leaves.)

Rick: Both men are flat on their back! I can't believe this! KC had him!

(With both men lying motionless, the ref begins his count, 1….2….3….4….5….6….7….8. Tanis scrambles to his feet. He sees KC out and begins to flex for the crowd. He covers Chaos, 1…2…Tanis pulls off of him. He covers Chaos again, 1…2. He pulls off again. This time, Tanis hooks a leg and turns over. He sits back on his finisher, the Hawk's Talon. The ref lifts KC's arm. Once, then twice, then a third time. The ref calls for the bell.)

Your winner, Tanis, in 17:23

Eddie: What a big win for Tanis!

Rick: Win? Win? That was no win. He was all but pinned!

Eddie: Like I said last week, Rick, a win's a win. He got the W, didn't he?

Rick: But . .

Eddie: Didn't he?

Rick: Whatever, Eddie, you idiot.

(In the ring, Tanis is celebrating as the Nighthawk theme plays. But the music cuts out and suddenly the Crazy Ones are on the big screen above the entry area.)

(We see Maniac Mike sitting in the ring of an empty arena. The Link is sitting beside him. The Maniac has the belts on his lap.)

Maniac: HEY TANIS, HEE HEE, YOU SCUMBAG!

(We see The Link laugh.)

Maniac: Hey Tanis, hee hee, now that I have you attention, hee hee, I have a few things to say. Tanis, hee hee, what the hell have you been thinking. You say your too good, hee hee, to be in the ring with us, hee hee, well boy let me ask you how many NeWA titles have you won? Let me think, hee hee, none that I can think of, hee hee. So until you do win one, hee hee, learn where your place is boy. You are nothing compared, hee hee, to me, The Link, Slim, Neurosis, and Stephen. You punks couldn't even hold my, hee hee, jockstrap. So Tanis, hee hee, this Monday we will be taking on whatever two members, hee hee, you want to throw in front of us, hee hee, but I will tell you one thing we will get our hands on you. That isn't a threat, hee hee, that is a promise. So punk prepare, hee hee, because on Monday night, hee hee, we will make you and the rest of the Nighthawks, hee hee, FEEL THE.........

(The Link looks up at the camera.)

Link: PPPPPPPAAAAAAIIIIIINNNNNN!

(The Link gets up and runs out of the ring.)

Maniac: Tanis, hee hee, see you on Monday night. BE AFRAID, HEE HEE, BE VERY VERY AFRAID!

(The Maniac stand up and goes over to the camera and shuts it off. The screens become black once again.)

Rick: Some words of warning from our NeWA champs, the Crazy Ones. Folks, we have two more matches, folks. Hopefully, we won't see any more run ins or tricks or rescheduling. Just wrestling. Our next match will feature the tag team champs in action versus the former world NeWA champs, so let's go to the ring!

IWA Tag Team title match
Maximum Carnage vs. Hell's Angels(c)

(The biggest tag team, Maximum Carnage, in the entire IWA comes to the ring first, accompanied by Kimona Wanalaya. Then the tag team champions, the Hell's Angels come down the aisle. The ref raises both tag team belts high. The bell sounds. Fire and Lord Maximus start. The bigger man quickly walks over and starts to overpower the cruiserweight Fire. He throws him into a neutral corner and starts pounding him. Lord pulls back and tries to run into Fire, but Fire pulls up on the ropes and goes over him then rolls him up into a pin, 1.kick out. Fire practically runs over to Hellbender and tags him in. The champs join hands and double clothesline the bigger man. Fire leaves the ring and Hellbender picks him up. He hits a DDT. He then puts him into a reverse chinlock.)

Eddie: Boring.

Rick: Oh, Eddie, shuttup.

(Lord Maximus manages to drag Hellbender to his corner and tag his partner, Mt. Maximus. Mount nails Hellbender off of him with a big stomp. He scoops up Hellbender and hits a shoulderbreaker. Mount picks up Hellbender and throws him into the ropes. He hits a back bodydrop. Hellbender manages to tag Fire from his back. Mount didn't see the tag, so he doesn't see Fire flying in from the top turnbuckle with a missile dropkick either. Fire goes for a cover, 1…2..kick out. He stays on the offense, hitting him with several punches to the face. He throws Mount to the ropes and then hits a head scissors takeover. Fire tags Hellbender right back in. The double team includes a double suplex and then a double powerbomb. Hellbender makes a cover, 1…2…Lord Maximus makes the save. Hellbender begins exchanging blows with Lord when Mount comes from behind and hits a belly-to-back suplex. An exhausted Mount tags in Lord.)

Eddie: Quick tags, quick tags. That's what great teams do.

(Lord begins stomping Hellbender. He picks him up and throws him into a corner. He runs after him, but Hellbender moves out of the way. Hellbender kicks out Lord Maximus' knees. Hellbender tags in Fire. Fire runs over a goes for a split-legged moonsault, but Lord gets his knees up. Both men get to their feet.)

Rick: Hey, we're back where we started.

(Lord once again uses his power to ground Fire. He stomps the man down. Scooping him up, Lord hits another shoulderbreaker. He goes for a cover, 1…2…kick out. Fire rolls away. Lord comes after him, but Fire hits a dropkick that makes the man stumble back. Fire tags Hellbender. Lord tags Mount. Mount Maximus and Hellbender charge at each other and begin exchanging blows. Hellbender wins out and throws Mount Maximus into his corner. He tags Fire. Fire climbs the turnbuckle. Hellbender lifts Mount up for an apparent powerbomb. Fire leaps off and helps Hellbender drive Mount into the mat. It's the Carnage Bomb! Fire goes for the cover as Hellbender goes to intercept Lord Maximus, 1…2….3.)

Your winners, and still IWA Tag Team champions, the Hell's Angels, in 22:11

Rick: Well, how about that win? The former world champs don't have enough to take the belts from our reigning champions, the Hell's Angels.

Eddie: Hey, when Fire and Hellbender first won those straps, I thought they were just lucky. But these two are for real.

Rick: Fans, we're going to take our last commercial break. When we come back, it'll be the main event!

___________________Commercials____________________

Rick: All right, fans. This is our main event and it's for the IWA Northern title!

IWA Northern title match
Element(c) vs. Neurosis

(The bell sounds three times.)

Ring announcer: Ladies and gentlemen, this is the main event. It is for the IWA Northern title. Both men have agreed to have two referees to ensure this match will be one on one. So here we go! Coming to the ring first, at a weight of 295 pounds, a charter member of the Misfits, the "Neurotic One", Neurosis!

(Neurosis comes out, brandishing a screwdriver. He shows the crowd the weapon, then slides it outside of the ring and signals that he doesn't need it.

Ring announcer: And, coming out second, at a weight of 313 pounds, master of the Element Breakdown, member of the Nighthawks, and IWA Northern champion, Element!

(The Nighthawks theme plays, and Element appears alone in the entryway. He walks with a determined look to the ring. The ref holds the Northern belt high, then calls for the bell. Element and Neurosis both really take their time starting things up. Element points at the crowd and Neurosis just walks around. Neither really wants to take the initiative.)

Eddie: Come on, this is ridiculous. The match started three minutes ago and they haven't touched each other yet.

(Finally, Neurosis comes over and kicks Element in the stomach. He does it again, then hits an underhook spinebuster. Element stumbles to his feet, ducks a punch, and hits a belly-to-back suplex. Element stays on him, dragging him to his feet and executing a vertical suplex. Element stomps Neurosis down. Neurosis rolls out of the ring.)

Eddie: More of that stalling crap.

Rick: Neurosis is a seasoned pro, Eddie. He knows what he's doing.

(Neurosis waits until the count hits 9 before getting on the apron. He tells the ref to back off Element. He gets in the ring. Element comes over to him, but Neurosis goes low and dropkicks Element's knee. He immediately goes to work on the knee, stomping on it several times. He picks up Element, and goes for an atomic drop. He hits it and goes for a cover, 1…2…kick out. Element gets to his feet and punches Neurosis, first in the stomach, then in the face. He then hits an impressive snap suplex. He scoops up Neurosis and tosses him outside of the ring. Element flexes for the fans and they boo loudly. Neurosis once again takes his time getting in the ring. Eventually, Neurosis re-enters and dives at Element's legs. He hooks both of them and turns it into a boston crab type hold. Element is in the hold for almost thirty seconds before reaching the ropes. Neurosis lets go and Element gets to his feet. He's obviously hurt. Neurosis grabs Element's left leg and executes a dragon corkscrew. Then, with Element down, he takes the leg and jumps over Element, stretching the leg out. He goes for a cover, 1…2…kick out.)

Rick: Neurosis is relentless.

(Neurosis reaches for Element's leg again, but this time, Element hits him with a big right knee, then a right hook to the face. Neurosis falls to a knee. Element picks him up and executes a jumping piledriver. He drags him to his feet and executes a reverse Russian leg sweep. He goes for a cover, 1…2…kick out.)

Eddie: Both men are exhausted. This stuff hurts.

(Element gets to his feet first and hits a quick DDT. He then picks up Neurosis and throws him out of the ring again. And, again, he flexes. Again, Neurosis takes his time getting back in the ring. When he does, Element grabs him on the apron and suplexes him into the ring. Element goes for a leg drop, but Neurosis moves. Neurosis gets up and begins stomping the knee again. He tries to pick up Element, but Element rolls him up into a pin, 1….2…kick out. Element stays on him, kicking Neurosis in the face as he tries to get up. Element starts to flex, but Neurosis comes in from behind and hits him with a low blow. Neurosis drags Element to the ropes and puts his knee over the second rope. He begins bending the knee over it. Both refs make him break the hold. Element gets to his feet, and on one good leg, grabs Neurosis and throws him into the corner. He limps over there and hits him with an elbow. Neurosis climbs the turnbuckle, and out of nowhere, grabs Element, and executes the Vortex of Doom! He goes for the cover, 1…2…foot on the ropes!)

Rick: Oh, he had it there!

Eddie: Neurosis was just too tired to remember to drag him to the middle of the ring.

(Neurosis picks him up again and hits a running powerslam. The crowd stands in anticipation of a cover. Neurois covers him, 1…2….kick out! Element rolls out of the ring. He takes several deep breaths and limps around the corner of the ring. He gets back in the ring as the ref's count reaches 8. Neurosis goes to grab him but Element knees him in the groin. He then sets him up for the Element Breakdown, but Neurosis escapes. Element stays on him, though, hitting an impressive springboard bulldog. He then scoops him up, and throws him into the corner. Element shows impressive resolve and lifts Neurosis onto the turnbuckle. Element climbs up after him.)

Eddie: What's he doing?

Rick: Oh my!

(Element executes the Element Breakdown off the top rope! He lands funny, however, on his bad knee.)

Rick: What a move! But it looks like Element landed wrong on that knee!

Eddie: Element is dumb. That move wasn't meant to be done off the top rope.

(Both men are down and not moving. The ref begins his count, 1….2….3….4….5. Then, for no apparent reason, the bell sounds. The ring announcer walks into the ring and tells the ref something. The ref walks over to the corner, grabs the belt and gives it to Element.)

This match has been ruled a draw due to the 30 minute time limit.

Rick: Wow. And that match still could have gone either way.

Eddie: No more matches?

Rick: Of course not, Eddie, that was the main event. But they'll be more matches this Monday at Rush. See you then, everyone!

(Copyright laws roll. The Rush logo appears on screen. Scene then fades to black.)
