No one is sure what happened to the mage, but conflicting reports of 10 ton weights and ballistic custard pies are frequently told...
The book has the potential to contain any spell within its pages, even ones known by only one mage, at random times.
A mage who owns this book should resign themselves to the fate of not knowing what will happen to them.
When a mage decides to learn a spell, he may pick any that he has seen, even in Dragon(R). The DM then *secretly*
(So you can pretend the spell is't there if you don't want it to be...) rolls percentile dice. There is a 45% chance of the spell being
contained SOMEWHERE in the pages. Incidently, it is entirely possible for the book to have infinite pages, they change number each day
to accommadate the number of spells they have...
The mage must spend an additional hour memorising spels on account of having to look through 1D100 pages to find
the spell first...
The mage must also roll spell learning percentiles as usual. Any roll of 01, 00, or 99 results in the spell learnt automatically causes a Wild surge
Use your imagination when creating Wild Effects...
In addition, the book creates a 15 foot wide Wild Magic Zone, centreing on the book.
Once per adventure, the DM may *OPTIONALLY* cause a spell in the book to 'cast itself' at a randomn target.
Spells should be chosen for humourous effect, not outright murder.
Oh, and one other thing. Wear protective gear before your players realize what you have done to them....
