Overview

Dwarves are an ancient, mountain-dwelling race of superb warriors and craftsmen. They  are fighting a losing battle against the Orogs beneath the mountains, their ancestral enemies. There are few kingdoms of free dwarves these days.

Appearance

A typical dwarf stands around 4'3" (4'-4'6"), with a stocky build. They have a tan yet slightly greyish complexion, and are often quite wrinkled. Their skin is cool to the touch. It is worth noting that dwarves are very dense creatures, averaging 250 pounds (200-300).

Psychology

Dour, taciturn and introverted. Dwarves are suspicious out outsiders. Yet they are a hearty people, and dwarves love the beuaty of craft and rock.
Dwarves are creatures born of stone, and it reflects in their personaltity.

Combat

A dwarf is a formidable foe. They are strong, sturdy and implaceable, as well as technologically advanced.
Dwarves favor metal armor, and big, damaging weapons. Most dwarves are skilled warriors, if a bit unimaginative.

Magic

Dwarves are quite incapable of using wizardly magic due to the racial magic resistance, but they do have priests.
Dwarves treat wizardly magic, like everything else foreign to their nature, with great suspicion.

Masonry, Armoury, Blacksmith, Jeweler, Mechanic, Alchemy, Architecture, Engineer, History, Mettalurgy, Prospecting, Hiking.
Total racial cost: 50 points.
