Wemic

Overview

Wemics are lion-centaurs. They are an honorable, tribal people. They dwell in the eastern plains and deserts.

Appearance

A stretched-out wemic would be around 10' long. Their human faces have slightly leonine features and sharp teeth. Their hair usually flows down in
a mane, for males, or is kept short, for females.

Psychology

Wemics are a simple people, and somewhat superstitious. They are proud, courageous and loyal to the pack. Wemics outside a tribe usually adopts a
group of friends as their "pack".
They are pretty much in touch with nature, although they do have to migrate lest they over-hunt their habitat.
As they occupy the same general areas as gnolls, the two species are deadly enemies.

Combat

The Wemic has the advantages of both man and lion, and is a fearsome foe or formidable friend. They like to pounce on people, as lions sometimes do,
although their bite is not very efficient in combat compared to their claws and weapons.
Otherwise, they favor spears in combat. Shields and swords are popular as well, though they are not very adept at making these.
