Let me start by welcoming you all and Thanking you for visiting. I love to cook, through the years of growing up my mother always gave me some great recipes, some really gourmet and others cheap and simple. My idea here is to share some with you, and If you have any recipes to share on my web site please email me and I will make sure your recipe gets on the site. I am a mother of 2 growing boys and I also work full time, so I have little time to spend in the kitchen most days. So, I have some recipes that I created and others come from friends, family, and hopefully you too. So, sit back and enjoy! Ingredients: 2 cups of breadcrumbs seasoned 2 lbs whole fresh mushrooms (decap and chop stems very fine) 1/2 stick of butter 1 onion chopped fine 2 celery stalks chopped fine
Start by taking stems offf the mushrooms leaving only the caps arrange caps face up on cookie sheet and bake at 350* for 10 minutes in Large skillet combine all other ingredients on medium heat, mixture will become doughy, and thick. using spoon , fill caps with mixture and broil in top oven till stuffing is golden brown on top. Let stand 5 minutes and serve. |

Ingredients: 2 large squash bread crumbs Mozzeralla Cheese Salt and pepper
Cut squash in 1/2 length wise, scoop out the inside so its just the shell. Bake shells in oven on 375* for about 15-20 minutes. combine salt and pepper and guts from squash. fill shells with mixture, cover with foil and bake another 15 minutes. or untill soft. remove foil add cheese to your desire, and sprinkle bread crumbs ontop........Broil about 3-5 minutes till cheese is golden brown. A differnat way to eat your vegetables, and kids love it! |

Ingredients: 1 1/2 lbs ground beef 1 bag baby carrots(peeled) 3 stalks of celery (chopped) 1 onion (quatered) 1/2 cup of bread crumbs 5 potatoes peeled and cubed 1 egg 4 boulien beef cubes
In a large pot combine water, beef cubes, carrots, celery, potatoes, onion, on high heat bring to a boil. In a bowl combine hamburg, egg, and bread crumbs. Mix well. make meatballs small no bigger than diameter of a quarter. add meatballs to boiling soup stock, let boil for 15 minutes. Simmer for one hour stirring occasionally. Kids love this soup and it contains something from every food group. Serve with bread! |

Ingredients: Nacho chips Extra sharp chedder cheese Scallions chopped fine(about 4)
Arrange nachos on a microwave safe plate.(if you don't have microwave arrange on cookie sheet and broil 5 minutes) grate desired amout of cheese over nachos remove from oven and sprinkle scallions over them. Serve with salsa!

Ingredients: plastic cups any size you pefer 100% juice in a can or a bottle straws (cut in half) Masking tape
pour juice in cups leaving about 1/2 inch from the top place straw in juice and tape one side of the cup over the straw to the other side of the cup( to hold straw in place) freeze and serve. Kids love it and When it starts to melt they can place in cup and drink this cooling drink. I made this when my little was sick and wouldnt drink any fluids. Enjoy! |

Chicken Wings |

Ingredients: 1 package of chicken wings 2 cups of ketchup 1/4 cup mustard 2 tsp worschire sauce 2 tsp soy sauce
bake chicken on 350* for 45 minutes or intill no pinkness. in a bowl mix all ingredients mix well. add chicken to mixture and coat well. place chicken on cookie sheet and broil about 10-15 minutes or untill crispy. Serve with blue cheese. |

Squash Soup (my mother-n-laws recipe) |

Creamy mashed potato Bake |

Ingredients: water 6-8 chicken bouilleion cubes 4 BIG summer squash Cut into cubes about 1/2-1 inch 1lb elbow macaroni 1 bag baby carrots 3 stalks celery 1 onion quarted salt and pepper
in a 12 quart pot fill with water 3/4 full, add all vegetables, bring to a boil, boil for 15 minutes, then simmer for 1/2 hour add macaroni and on medium heat cook for 30 minutes . Add salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy |

Ingredients: 3 cups mashed potato 1 cup sourcream 1/4 cup milk 1/4 tsp garlic powder 1 1/3 cups FRENCHS french fried onions divided 1 cup shredded chedder cheese divided
Preheat oven to 350*, Combine mashed potatos, sour cream, milk, and garlic powder. Spoon 1/2 mixture into a 2 quart casserole dish, sprinkle 2/3 onions and 1/2 cheese. top with remaining potato mixture bake 30 minutes top with remaining cheese and onions bake 5 more minutes or untill top is golden. |
