The reason that I picked this song is because it changed my life. The first time I heard this song my boyfriend had just dropped me off at home after we had a big argument. I was sitting on my floor leaning up against my bed just thinking abou how unhappy I was in my reationship. I was unhappy in my relationship but I was afraid to leave my boyfriend. I was afraid for two reasons: I thought that my boyfriend would hurt me if I tried to leave him and I was afraid to be alone, people thought that Danny and I were meant to be together forever and I didn't want to disappoint them.
I remember this song came on the radio and every word that Brian said went straight to my heart--like he was singing to me. It made me realize that I wanted to be with someone that could make me happy, someone who could say everyword of the song and mean it whole heartedly. This song, and Brian, gave me the push I needed to leave my boyfriend. It gave me back control of my life.
