"Hey Paige, are you almost done packing?" Sierra asked when she walked through the door of Paige's room. "We have to be at Isaac's house in 30 minutes ready for Tablerock Lake."
"I know, Sierra. I'm almost done. It's just..I don't know if I should go. I mean, after what happened between me and Taylor, I am going to be pretty uncomfortable," Paige admitted as tears started to well up in her eyes.
"Oh, Paige, I'm so sorry. That has to be so hard for you. But you still have to go. Zac was begging me to convince you to go. He feels really bad about what Taylor did to you. I don't think that he or Isaac have said one nice word to Taylor since then."
"So....you think that I should go?"
"Of course, Paige. You need to show Taylor that he's not getting you down, and we all want you to be there."
"Well..ok-okay, I guess I will. I just have to finish putting on my make-up and then pack it, and I'm ready."
"Okay Paige, I'm so glad you're going. We are gonna have so much fun!" Sierra assured Paige, smiling.
"I sure hope so," Paige said, doubtfully.
"Man, this is going to be kinda weird," Taylor said aloud, as he and his brothers were packing their luggage into the Hanson family's white van. It had been quiet while the three brothers were packing, and Tay knew that is was because of him.
"Yeah, of course it's going to be weird, Taylor," Zac finally spoke up. "You ruined a relationship with the best girl in the whole world, and act like it's nothing!" Zac said angrily.
Actually, Taylor had been acting like it didn't bother him as a cover up. All of this was really killing him inside.
"Here comes Paige and Sierra! She came!" Zac called out when he saw them driving up the road. He went running towards the car. As soon as Paige stepped out of the car Zac embraced her in a tight hug. "Thanks so much for coming Paige! We're gonna have so much fun!" Zac said excitedly. Taylor just crept up the steps and slipped back inside before Paige noticed. This is going to be SO hard! Tay thought to himself as a tear welled up in his eye.
"I spy........something red," Zac said, laughing. They had been on the road for a couple of hours.
"Um....is it my shirt?" Isaac asked.
"Nope," Zac said smiling mischeviously.
"That bumper sticker?" Paige asked.
"Nope, you guys will never get this. I can't take it anymore, so I'm just gonna tell you," Zac said, laughing hysterically now. "It's Taylor's face! It's been red since the first time he laid his eyes on Paige today!" Zac said laughingly. Everyone looked at Taylor, and he slumped down in his seat.
"Shut up, Zac!" Taylor said angrily, hurling a pillow at Zac's head.
"Well...it's true, Taylor," Zac said.
Zac didn't mean to be rude, he was just trying to get Taylor back for what he did to Paige. Whether Taylor was hurting or not, Paige had to be hurting ten times more, at least!
Tay deserves this. Zac thought to himself.
This is going to be a long trip, Tay thought sadly.
"Oh my gosh...this is the coolest thing I have ever seen!" Sierra said in awe as she walked through the many rooms of the houseboat.
Besides there being a kitchen, two bathrooms, and as many bedrooms as her own house held, there was also a Jacuzzi on the top deck of the boat AND a water slide off the back of the boat!
Suddenly, Sierra heard a loud splash. She went out on the back deck just in time to see Zac pop up out of the water, fully-clothed.
"This slide's awesome! You have to try it!" Zac yelled out with a big grin.
Zac is so crazy! Sierra thought, nodding her head as she walked back inside to unpack her things. But yet, he could be a great guy for Paige.
"Excuse me!" Zac called out as he rushed by Sierra. "I get this bed!" he yelled as he plopped his dripping self onto a bed that was on the lower level of the houseboat.
"No Zac, Honey, that's Sierra and Paige's bed," Diana said, laughing.
"Zac!" Paige yelled as she walked in to find Zac on her bed with his wet swimsuit.
Okay, maybe she should give him a few years, Sierra thought, smiling to herself.
"Remember when we all played truth or dare at Sierra's house and Tanner had to pick a piece of popcorn out of Kristen's nose, only using his teeth?"
They laughed, but then Paige got quiet.
She's going to say something about when we kissed during our truth or dare game, isn't she? Crap... Zac thought, but then Paige said, "Zac...what do you think it'll be like in a few years...after you've gone on tour and I've gone to college...will..will we still be friends?" she asked sadly.
"Of course, Silly-we'll be friends forever!" Zac said in a comforting way, pulling Paige over for a hug.
Little footsteps came up, and Mackie said, "Dinner's ready, Paige..." his eyes growing wide as he backed away.
"Mackie..." Zac looked at his little brother questioningly, "Wha...?"
"Paige and Zacie sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g," Mackie repeated over and over, running down the hall.
"We were only hugging; we just had a talk..." Paige tried to explain, but it was already too late: Taylor ran out the door and up to the top deck of the houseboat.
Paige sighed and plopped down at the dinner table. What did she care...she didn't kiss Zac, and she didn't have to "protect" Taylor.
"'Morning, Sierra!" Paige sang out cheerily as she opened the curtains, awaking Sierra and allowing the bright morning sunlight to pour in.
Sierra responded by hurling a pillow at Paige's head. "What are you so excited about?" she asked Paige crankily.
"Zac is going to take me for a ride on the Sea Doo!" Paige explained, smiling.
"Whoopee!" Sierra responded sarcastically as she covered her face up with the blankets on their bed.
"Did anyone ever tell you that you are not a morning person?" Paige asked, not really expecting an answer, as she got up to take a shower.
Sierra glared at Paige, who responded with an innocent smile.
"Isaac, NO! No, Isaac-PLEEEASE!" Sierra screamed as Isaac picked her up out of bed.
"Relax, Sierra. Someone just told me I needed to get you up, so that's what I'm doing."
"Then why are you carrying me outside?" Sierra asked, worried.
"You need some fresh air. Oh...and some fresh WATER!" Ike replied as he held Sierra out over the side of the boat, above the water.
"Isaac, NoOoOoOo!" Sierra screamed as she held onto Isaac for dear life. When he tried to drop her, she pulled him in with her.
"AHHHHH!" they both screamed.
"Clarke Isaac!" Sierra yelled when they had both surfaced.
"Hey! You pulled me in, too!" Isaac said, taking the defensive.
"I'm sorry, Sierra. C'mere and I'll help you out."
"I don't trust you any more," Sierra said playfully.
"Just c'mere," Isaac pleaded as he pulled Sierra close for a quick lip lock.
"Mmmmm...tastes just like fish!" Sierra said, laughing as Isaac dunked her under the water.
"Those were good pancakes!" Zac said, laughing. When he pulled off his shirt, he rubbed his slightly-poochy tummy for emphasis.
Paige smiled. "I can't believe we're out here at eight a.m. and I'm actually excited about it. It's just, it's so gorgeous out here, with the mountains all around and the sun shining on the lake."
That's not the only thing gorgeous out here, Zac thought, trying to hide a smile.
"Are you ready for the ride of your life?" Zac asked Paige excitedly.
"Don't go too fast! If I fall off, you're dead!" Paige threatened.
"Don't worry, just hang on," Zac said, smiling as Paige put her arms around his stomach. "Here we go!"
They sped across the waters of Tablerock Lake with Paige squealing every now and then.
Zac turned around and yelled something which Paige heard as "Mmmm ghannatree atreesity!"
His mouth jiggled as the breeze blowing past them filled his cheeks.
She laughed, so Zac assumed that meant Paige was okay with him trying a 360 ("I'm going to try a 360"), when really she was just laughing at his face.
Suddenly, Paige was thrown from the jet ski because she was not expecting the sharp turn, pulling Zac in with her.
"What happened?" Paige asked as Zac swam towards her. He was laughing hysterically.
"I told you I was going to try a 360!" Zac explained.
"All I heard was jibberish, and I was way too distracted by your jiggling cheeks."
Zac blushed and gave her a confused look (Which type of cheeks did she mean?).
They both started cracking up. As their laughs slowed, Zac swam even closer to Paige. They looked deep into eachother's eyes, not knowing what to expect next. Suddenly, their lips became one, and they held each other tight.
Zac's heart soared as he realized he had finally done it-he kissed Paige, and she had actually kissed him back!
Paige smiled at Zac, who was still so close that she could feel his breath on her. He had such gorgeous chocolate-colored eyes!
He licked his lips, and then brought them back to Paige's.
Paige couldn't believe she was kissing Zac, her best friend (besides Sierra), but it felt so right.
"Hey, Paige," Sierra said as she peeked her head inside the bedroom to find Paige laying down, staring at the ceiling, "Want to go tubing? Isaac offered to drive the Sea Doo and drag us behind it."
"Sure!" Paige said as her already lit face lit up even more..
What is she so happy about? Sierra wondered.
"Okay, are you guys ready?" Isaac yelled to the two girls positioned on the tube behind him.
"Yeah!" they both yelled.
"So, Paige, what is up with you? Why are you floating around?" Sierra asked.
"Oh, nothing," Paige said nonchalantly.
"C'mon, Paige, I've known you forever; something's up."
"Oooookaaay, I, uh..I, umm....kissedZac," Paige said in one breath, smiling.
"What?" Sierra looked at Paige, shocked, as Isaac took off, leaving an unready Sierra behind.
"SIERRA!!!"
"...Huh?"
"Do you thi.."
"Paige," Sierra moaned, "It's three in the freaking morning!"
"I know, just... I've been up forever. I just couldn't get my head to slow down. I mean, when Zac kissed me, it was just, like, amazing. He treats me so nice, Sierra. But, I also thought, well, Taylor and I just broke up. I'm still sort of hurt over that. But I do like Zac. I'm just confused, Sierra. I am so, so confused. I also thought, oh my gosh, it's pretty gross to think I've liked two brothers; that's, like, Jerry Springer-ish. Only, it doesn't feel that way. Because, it doesn't seem like they're related-it seems like Taylor and Zac are friends. So, well, what do you think, Sierra? Am I just an awful person? Or am I just a tragically broken-hearted girl who is beginning to feel there is hope again, after all?"
"What do I think? I think you should go to sleep, Paige."
The next day, around noon, the entire Hanson clan, along with Paige and Sierra, sat at two tables pulled together inside the houseboat, eating lunch.
Zachary and Paige sat across the table from eachother, sharing a shy glance every now and then.
Sierra and Isaac were wrapped up in a conversation.
Taylor ate quietly, staring down at the table.
Mackie and Avery were tossing a grape back and forth.
Diana was feeding Zoe, and Walker was videotaping mother and daughter.
Jessica, however, was fully-noticing the looks shared between Zac and Paige, laughing to herself silently. Making plans...
Taylor sat inside, driving the houseboat around the lake, trying to find a good spot along the woods to park for the night. Diana and Zoe were taking a nap in the room they shared with Walker, who was atop the boat, along with Zac, Mack, Avery, and Jess, teaching them to fish. Paige was taking a shower. Sierra was sitting on the top deck of the boat, on the opposite side of Walker and the kids, reading a book called "Summer Sisters". Isaac walked up behind her, enveloping Sierra in a hug.
She looked up, surprised, and smiled at her boyfriend.
"Hey, Beautiful," Isaac said sweetly.
Beautiful? Sierra felt anything but beautiful. She wore a long teeshirt, down to her knees, covering her lake water-scented swimming suit. Her face was make-up free, and her hair was tangled from the wind going by the moving boat.
"Isaac, I love you," she whispered.
They sat on a built-in bench at one end of the top deck, cuddled up together. The two of them sat silently for awhile, allowing eachother to enjoy the gorgeous view surrounding the boat. A breeze brushed past them, and the sun was slowly making its way down.
"Sierra," Isaac began, "We only have two more days on this boat. I know tomorrow we're all having a campfire, so tonight, I wanted to do something, just you and me. I want tonight to be special. I'll wait until we all go to bed, and when Taylor falls asleep, then when Paige falls asleep, let's sneak out of our rooms. Meet me on the back deck of the boat. Oh, yeah...wear your swim suit."
"My swim suit? I don't want to swim in the lake after dark..."
"Just trust me, Sierra. Me and you will get to be alone for awhile on this crowded boat."
"You're right, Isaac. I'll be waiting for you around eleven or so. You're so sweet, Isaac."
Sierra kissed Isaac's cheek, and they held each other, watching the moon rise up into the sky.
"Jessica, Avery, Maaaackiiie, go to bed!"
"But-"
"NOW!" Diana demanded. She was overly-tired after chasing Zoe all across the boat for the majority of the day.
"The rest of you can stay up a little longer if you want, but please, not too late," Diana said, heading towards her room with Zoe in her arms and Walker at her side.
"I think I'll go to bed now," Isaac said, winking at Sierra and giving a fake yawn.
"Me, too," Sierra grinned, taking Isaac's lead.
Taylor had gone to bed awhile earlier, claiming he had a headache.
"I guess I will, too, then," Paige said, but as Ike and Sierra headed off to their rooms, Zac pulled Paige into the bathroom, closing the door behind them.
"Hey," he greeted her.
Paige smiled brightly at him.
"I haven't gotten to talk to you much today, Paige. I wanted to make sure everything's okay between us."
Paige looked surprised. "Okay? Everything's more than okay, Zac. Yesterday...Zac, it was incredible. I always knew you and I were really close, but yesterday, well, yesterday changed the way I see you when I look at you. I mean, you're my best friend, but..." Paige looked up at Zac, and he was looking into her eyes, nodding to show he was following what she was saying. She began to feel shy, and cleared her throat.
"Anyway, Zac, I didn't talk to you much today because I've been so scared someone would see through me. I was scared they would be able to tell there was something different between you and me. I mean, I wish I could tell the world: Zac and I aren't the same old best friends anymore-we're so much more! But, even though Taylor hurt me, I don't want to hurt him. It's too soon. It.."
Zac felt honored, but at the mention of Taylor's name, his eyes dropped to the ground.
"No...Zac. I didn't mean...Zac..."
He looked up sadly. "I know. It's just, no matter how much I don't want to care, I somehow feel like I betrayed my brother."
"Zachary.." Paige lifted his chin so he would look into her eyes. "Don't say that. You're not betraying anyone. If you hadn't...if you hadn't kissed me, then you'd be betraying your own feelings, and that's not right. Just think...just think about us."
Zac grinned, and he put his arm around Paige, pulling her to his side and squeezing her tight. "Us..."
Paige had finally fallen asleep. She breathed deeply, in and out...in and out...
Sierra crept out of bed, down the hall, and opened the door to the back deck of the houseboat, slipping outside. It was too dark to see anything, but then Sierra felt two strong hands pull her off her feet.
Isaac carried Sierra up the stairs to the top deck of the houseboat, and there were two candles lighting up the night just enough so that you could see the Jacuzzi, which was bubbling with water.
Isaac set Sierra down, kissed her gently, then helped her pull her Tigger night shirt over her head. She wore the same swimsuit she had worn earlier that day, only somehow, Isaac didn't notice the smell of lake water it held. All he knew was that this was right where he wanted to be, with Sierra, for now and for always.
Isaac picked Sierra up again, and they got into the Jacuzzi, leaving Sierra sitting on Isaac's lap. His arms enveloped her waist and shoulders, and she lay her head back to rest against his chest. Isaac kissed Sierra's neck, and then they sat, staring up at the stars.
Isaac pointed out several constellations to Sierra. She sighed contentedly and snuggled up closer to him. Star light, Star Bright, First star that I see tonight, I wish I may, I wish I might, Have the wish I wish tonight...I wish that Isaac would always care for me as much as he does now because I want to be with him forever.
It was quiet for several moments, so Sierra jumped when Isaac's voice broke out into the night...
"Crescent Moon..."
Omigosh! It's *our* song! The one Isaac wrote for me! Sierra's heart jumped with excitement.
Taylor sat up in bed, startled. He thought he heard a voice outside. Was someone trying to break into their boat?
He stepped quietly onto the back deck, hearing a noise coming from the top deck.
Taylor tiptoed up the stairs, and he ducked when he saw his older brother with Sierra.
He didn't want to disturb them.
Isaac was singing to her. They looked so cute there, together in the Jacuzzi.
Taylor ran down the stairs, his heart pounding. Tears poured down his face, and he sunk down to the ground.
God, he missed Paige. They used to do sweet things like that. Now, though, Taylor was having a miserable time, and this was his vacation. His one vacation before the tour. His father had spent about forty thousand dollars renting this boat for the week, but for the four or so days they had been there, all Taylor could do was blame himself. Why had he hurt Paige? Why? He was so stupid! This was killing him inside.
Isaac finished the song, and Sierra's eyes glistened with tears. "That was beautiful, Isaac. I love you...I love you."
Isaac drew his lips to Sierras', silencing her, and they shared a long kiss.
"I love you," Isaac shared, "And, you know, I was going to sing that to you when I could play my guitar with it, but the stars and the big moon tonight reminded me of our date that night at the lake...I just knew this would be the perfect time to sing it to you."
They hugged tightly, and Isaac said, "Sierra, you are so special to me. I hope you already know, but I want to tell you, anyway-I appreciate everything you do for me, how kind you are to my parents and siblings, and even that you would actually love me. I never thought in a million years that such an amazing girl would ever like plain old me, and I...I really, really appreciate you."
By now, Isaac was crying, too. Sierra's tears had turned practically into a downpour, and she held onto him tightly.
After awhile, their tears ceased, and Isaac wiped away a stray tear from Sierra's face with his thumb. He kissed the spot on her face where the tear had been, and slipped his hand through Sierra's, holding it tight.
"Isaac, I don't know what to say. I just...I just..." Sierra stopped talking and let go of Isaac's hand. She placed both of her own hands on Isaac's face and drew it to hers, kissing him slowly, then more and more passionately.
Diana, Zoe, Isaac, Sierra, Paige, Mackie, Zac, Jessica, and Avery splashed around in the lake until they began to tire, Walker videotaping the entire time from the back deck of the boat.
"I thought Taylor just had to use the restroom, but he hasn't been out here this whole tim. Do you know where he is, Diana?" Walker asked.
"No, Sweetheart. Maybe he just felt like being alone."
Sierra knew better. Taylor had been alone for almost the entire trip, and today was the last full day of their being at the lake.
She slipped out of the water and onto the boat, unnoticed by everyone except Isaac, to whom she mouthed, "'Be right back."
Sierra wrang out her hair with a towel, pulled on some shorts and flip flops, then looked around the boat. Taylor was nowhere to be found.
The boat was docked at the rental's main dock, so Sierra stepped onto the dock. After passing several "parked" boats, Sierra spotted Taylor. He was sitting at the edge of a part of the dock, momentarily throwing pieces of bread into the water for all the fish and turtles.
When Sierra got closer, she was startled to see there were tears streaming down Taylor's face. She had never seen him cry before.
He noticed Sierra approaching, and quickly tried to wipe away his tears with the back of his hand.
"No...don't. It's okay, Taylor," Sierra said, talking about his crying.
She sat down beside him and put her arm around his back.
"I'm sorry this trip has been so hard for you, Tay," she began, and he sobbed into her shoulder.
Sierra had known things were hard for him, but she hadn't been expecting this.
"I...I know you're g..good friends with P..Pai...her. I..I'm sorry. I di-didn't mean to hu-hurt h-h-her," he cried.
"Taylor, shh...I know. It's okay."
"It's okay?!? No, it's not okay. I ruined things for us, Sierra. I love her. I love her, Sierra, and I don't know what to do. She...she d-doesn't even t..talk to me any more."
Sierra felt awful. Taylor felt this much for Paige, and this bad for what he had done, but Paige wasn't even thinking about it-she had kissed his brother, even!
"Does she...ha-hate me, S-S-Sierra?" Taylor asked, and Sierra honestly answered, "No-Paige could never hate you, Taylor."
"Really?"
"Really. She said she loved you, Tay. No one can go from love to hate over one mistake, not matter how much that mistake might have hurt them."
"Well, I..I hope you're right."
"I am right, Taylor. And y'know what? I'm going to sit here with you until you finish crying. You're going to get it all out, and then we're going to go back in that houseboat, and you're going to have an awesome "rest of the trip", alright?"
"Alright," Tay agreed reluctantly. "Thank you, Sierra. I can see why my brother likes you so much."
"Why, thank you, Taylor. I hope I helped ya a little, at least, and I want you to know that we all love you and no one wants you to be sad. So c'mon, Tay, perk up!"
The two friends hugged, Sierra offered him a Kleenex, and then they hooked arms and walked back to the houseboat. Isaac saw them first and smiled at Sierra.
"'Nice to see you, Tay," he said, and Taylor smiled a tiny smile-the first one they had seen all week!
"Thanks, Ike."
"Sure...now, are ya gonna go on this water slide with me or what?"
"MmMmMm," Zac said, gobbling down his hotdog in two bites. "Time for another! Tay, y'want one?"
"Sure," Taylor said, and Zac ran to the campfire, sticking two hotdogs on the end of a coat hanger and placing them under the fire.
Paige stood beside Zac, making her first hot dog, and screamed, "Ouch!"
"Are you okay?" Zac asked, almost dropping his coat hanger in the fire.
"Yeah!" Paige laughed, "The fire just sorta burns my legs!"
"I know what ya mean," Zac said, noticing how cute Paige looked in her campfire-looking outfit, consisting of jean shorts, jean jacket, white tee, and her hair pulled into two French braids.
They both left the fire, returning to the table where Taylor sat.
"Here ya go, Tay," Zac said, handing Taylor his hotdog.
"Thanks," Taylor said quietly, apprehensive about Paige standing right across from him, fixing her hotdog.
"Relish?" she offered, holding the bottle out to Taylor.
Oh...my...goodness, Taylor thought, She's looking and talking to ME! The first thing she's said to me all week!
"Um, sure," he said, sighing as Paige began to squirt ketchup on her hotdog.
The night was really fun. They had all made S'more's using toasted marshmallows from the fire, complete with Mackie burning his on fire and then freaking out. "Stop, drop, and roll!"
"No, Mackie-"
But it was too late. He threw his marshmallow on the ground, and Avery threw her Sprite on it, believing she had prevented a forest fire.
Then, they had all sung Kum-Ba-Yah around the fire jokingly.
Before the fire could burn out completely, all the kids, Isaac and younger (excluding Zoe), had run around the campfire, pretending to be Eighteenth-Century Indians.
After everyone had gone inside, Isaac and Sierra had remained, cuddled up by the campfire.
It finally burned out, so they decided to go inside.
Once Isaac and Sierra stepped in the door to the houseboat, they heard Jessica say, "I have an ideeea. Since it's our last night on the boat, let's watch our home video of the whole week before we go to bed!"
Zac looked at Jess. That didn't sound like something she'd want him to do. Hmm...maybe she just wanted to see on video how skinny she looked on video compared to Sierra and Paige. But what did he know?
The video started out with scenic views from the car window on the way to the lake. Zac thought it was pretty, but boring to watch.
He started to tickle Paige, who he was sitting next to in the back corner of the room.
She tried to muffle her laughter. She hit playfully at his tickling hands. They teased eachother back and forth, not hearing Diana's words...
"Who was filming Tuesday? Jessica...you know you're not supposed to watch, or especially videotape, people when they want privacy; Isaac and Sierra probably don't want this on our video and..."
The video had gone to two figures kissing in the water. Diana had gone quiet when the video zoomed in and she saw that the couple kissing was not, in fact, her eldest son and his girlfriend...
Zac and Paige hadn't paid attention to the video, but they noticed everyone get quiet, so they stopped talking and looked up.
"Oh, my..." Paige said, seeing herself kissing Zac on the TV.
"Well, now, we'll turn this off now," Diana said, standing to press "Stop" on the VCR.
"Jessica...You're in big trouble," Walker boomed out.
Jessica ran to the room she shared with Avery.
Sierra's heart was breaking for Taylor. He hadn't even ran off. He just sat there, blankly staring at the screen.
"Oh, no," Sierra whispered.
Twelve hours had passed since then, and the Hansons' had decided to not stay at the boat that morning, but to go ahead and pack up so they could spend the day out in Branson.
Diana was taking Avery, Mack, and Zoe downtown to shop, play miniature golf, and attend the Baldknobber's show. Walker, however, took Isaac, Taylor, Zac, Jessica, Sierra, and Paige to spend the day at Silver Dollar City, an amusement park.
Once inside the park, Walker took off to watch the Haygood Family perform a show so that the "kids" could walk around by themselves.
The six of them stood in line for a water ride, noticing two girls, who were being very obvious, "whispering" and pointing out the "MMMBop Brothers". Jessica, who seemed to be in a very bad mood, turned around and yelled "BOOOO!!!!!" at the two girls.
"Jessica! Don't be rude to fans!" Zac scolded her.
She glared at him.
"Listen here!" he screamed at her, "You are SO rude!!! Can you not see what you've done? You ruined things for me and Paige!" He motioned to her. "She's been avoiding me ever since last night!"
Taylor pushed Zac from behind. "HELLO! Stop screaming at her! She's the good one, here, but you--YOU are the one who ruined it all! I thought you were my...my best friend. You're my brother. How could you do that to me? How could YOU KISS PAIGE?!?!?" Taylor shook Zac's shoulders.
Zac just took a step backwards. "No, Taylor, that's where you've got it wrong. I didn't ruin anything. You ruined it for yourself."
Paige ran off, bawling. Sierra didn't know whether she should comfort Taylor or Paige. Isaac tried to hush Zac. Jessica just stood, looking shocked. The two fans left the line for the ride with wide eyes.
Everyone but Paige wound up riding the ride.
No one seemed to mind, or even notice, the water from the ride covering and splashing up over them.
Afterwards, Sierra went to the bathroom to get Paige, and Jess followed. Isaac and Zac went to find Walker, and Taylor stood on the bridge above the water ride, allowing himself to be splashed over, and over, and over...
