Story: The rise and fall of the dumbest gangster youths in Hung Lo Society.
Stars: Jackie Chan
Story: HK cop Jackie Chan moonlights as a TV chef, which is completely irrelevant to the story. The entire film is a poor excuse to set up the final battle between Jackie Chan and the REAL stars of the two films: THE BIG YELLOW HOVERCRAFT (TM) and THE BIG YELLOW DUMPTRUCK (TM). The vehicles do their own stunts. Don't ask how the vehicles become the villains of the film. You've seen it in Knight Rider.
Story: The final installment of God of Gamblers follows God of Gamblers' Return, as Ko Chun, God of Gamblers, goes into hiding again after the victory, while Fong Fong (Tony Leung Ka Fai) tries to pester his way into being another student of the God of Gamblers. Ko Chun challenges Fong Fong to serve Dagger and Sing as a test loyalty. Meanwhile, Knight of Gamblers Dagger (Andy Lau Tak Wa) and Saint of Gamblers Sing (Stephen Chiau Sing Chi) are lured into a contest hosted by the mysterious Prince of Gamblers. At the same time, Ko Chun encounters someone who resembles Miss Seven, the love of his life......
Critique: why settle for imitation actors like God of Gamblers 3--The Early Stage when the REAL Chow Yun Fat and Cheng Yiu Ling are around?
Raymond Wong is a timid schoolteacher who must save his students, this time a sperm bank who have been possessed by money. Apparently, the money got to a former student (Loretta Lee) who then proceed to do category 3 films. Can the Happy Ghost save her in time to attend another former student's wedding? Who Cares?
Category III: No one under 18 admitted
A gigolo, his pimp, his obsessed customer, a pig molestor, and a girl with a basket of eggs. Wong Jing Wai at his best as he finally directs a film right up his alley -- a Category 3 sex fest. Just when you think you are safe (like he needs a script for a sex flick), Wong Jing Wai fast framed all the sex scenes so he can see a thing, which may not be a bad thing when it comes to Leon. Still fighting the rating board over the Category 1 rating.
Category 1: General Audience
Motorcycle racer/gangster Joe Yeung Guor (Andy Lau) meets motorcycle racer/ rich kid boxer Ken (Aaron Kwok). Joe kidnaps Ken for ransom, holding him in his apartment, where Joe lives with his aunt mob mistress Gloria Siu Lung Nui (Carmen Lee). During the period, Gloria falls for Ken but Ken falls for Joe. When Ken's father paid the ransome and Ken is released, Ken rescues Joe from the streets, but there is no fury like a woman scorn, as Gloria orders the hit on Joe and all hell breaks loose.
Critique: the director took the elements from first two films, Full Throttle, and Somebody Up There Likes Me and just throw it together into one garbage can. Strangely it all somehow worked out without Ng Sin Lin. The scene with Aaron in a wedding dress is kind of awkward. Gotta give them credit for originality... maybe not.
Chow Yun Fat is unduplicable in an one man show about an undercover cop Tequila assigned to infiltrate the gang, where he is teamed with former hired killer Mark. When the two are set up by the mob, Mark sacrificed himself to allow Tequila to escape, but to no avail. While in prison, Tequila befriends a fellow inmate, who keeps him alive and helps him escape later. Tequila escapes to the U.S. with the help of a con man, who he later discovers to be the God of Gamblers Ko Chun. Upon arriving New York, Tequila and Ko Chun are chased by hired killers and stumble into a Chinese restaurant owned by Mark's twin brother Ken......
Pang Dan reminisces with her girlfriends about the days when she got a whole bunch of guys in trouble. Linda spends the whole film in silence from the shock of being in a movie with Pang Dan. Eric Moo makes a brief apearance as a reformed gangster turned priest who kicks some triad ass.
Fugitive Ox has been hiding out in a Chinese ranch in Essex, England, disguised as a cow. One day, Ox raped and killed a fainted English Cow, unbeknownst to him she already has the dreaded disease Mad Cow. Ox, not knowing he is infected, rapes and kills rancher Moo, and turned her body into human burgers for sale. Because Moo is infected with the virus, the disease continues to spread. Ox uses a fake U.S. passport to return to Hong Kong and unknowingly spread the disease through butcher shops......
