This scene takes place after Ranma learns the Hiryu Shoten Ha! or dragon punch. As the whirlwind caught him, Akane jumped in and helped him, but when the moves fades away, they both come plummeting to the ground. Akane is unconscious, and Ranma grabs her, bracing her to his chest and taking the fall for Akane. As they land, Akane revived, Ranma thanks her, (a first) and then runs off.
