The new king of Konan country, a short, bald, and unable to talk little boy. He is one and a half years old and carries the bear that Miaka gave Hotohori everywhere. Although Boushin is one and a half years old, he is still unable to talk. This is because when he was born one of Tamahome's memory orbs(stones)got stuck in his throat. When Tamahome returns to Konan, he goes to the palace. There he sees Hotohori's spirit. Hotohori is very sad that he is unable to talk to Boushin and Houki, his wife. But he is startled when a monster pops out of the bear. Hotohori inhabits Boushin's body and defeats the monster. That is when he speaks his first words: father. But when he tries to hug Hotohori, realizes that he is unable to. And starts to cry. Tamahome unable to stand seeing the kid cry lets Hotohori take over his body to comfort Boushin. And so Boushin learns about his father and Tamahome gains a memory orb.
