Fushigi Yuugi means "Mysterious Play". This story, by Watase Yuu is about two junior highschool girls, Miaka Yuuki and Yui Hongo, about to graduate. They got sucked into the Shi Ji Tenchi Sho(The Universe of the Four Gods). In the book they become the Mikos and eventually became enemies. Miaka somehow escaped and Yui thought Miaka had went into the book to see Tamahome again, not to rescue her. And so the story begins where they race each other to call upon their god. Along the way, they became closer to the person they love. Miaka and Tamahome, Yui and Nakago. But as they go on more, tragedy happens. Or how Tasuki puts it, "Shit keeps poppin' up".
