What Mr. Nobuhiro Watsuki likes

I have reported on Mr. Nobuhiro Watsuki, who draws Rurouni Kenshin published by Shueisha (Japan). You know Rurouni Kenshin is very popular in Japan at present. TV-animation type Rurouni Kenshin has been broadcast on Wednesday evening for about two years. It will be broadcast on Tuesday evening since this October.
Mr. Watsuki has written his favorite items. He likes American comics, Shinsen-gumi Company, Figure dolls, Eva and shooting video games.
Recently 17th volume of comics-type Rurouni Kenshin was published. There he wrote he liked Samurai Shodown (Japanese: Samurai Spirits).

The End of the Ten Swords

You know Chapter of Shishio was completed. Shishio chapter in TV-animation was also completed in Japan. So I tried to make a table of the Ten Swords.

Mr. Shishio Makoto
Boss of the Ten Swords He was the successor of Mr. Battousai Himura (Kenshin) at the end of Tokugawa Shogunate. He also fought against the Shogunate but at the beginning of Meiji Era he was stabbed and was burned by the Meiji Government. Then he was still alive. He made Mr. Soujirou Seta his first follower. Thereafter Makoto Shishio made a private army. According to the word of Mr. Enishi Yukishiro, the activity of Shishio was supported by Yukishiro. On the other hand, Commissioner of Tokyo Metropolitan Police, Toshiyoshi Kawaji ordered Assistant Police Inspector Hajime Saitou to watch the activity of Shishio group.
His ten strong followers were called the Ten Swords (Japanese: Juppon-gatana). He fought against Mr. Kenshin Himura. Kenshin used the secret sword art "Amakakeru Ryu No Hirameki." Then Shishio was still alive but his body began to burn itself. At last he was ruined.

Ms Yumi Komagata She was a famous and beautiful prostitute called Oiran at the end of Tokugawa Shogunate. Thereafter the Meiji Government emancipated prostitutes. So she lost her job. Then she got Shishio's sweetheart. She was dead at the final battle between Shishio and Kenshin.

The Ten
Swords Mr. Soujirou Seta He killed Mr. Toshimichi Ohkubo. He fought against Kenshin. Kenshin used the secret sword art "Amakakeru Ryu No Hirameki." Then Soujirou also used his art "Shun-Ten-Satsu." But he was defeated. He escaped. It was reported he would go to the north.

Mr. Houji Sadoshima He had worked for the Meiji Government. Thereafter he worked for Shishio. He formed an army and bought a battleship "Rengoku" from Mr. Enishi Yukishiro. But the battleship was destroyed by Mr. Sanosuke Sagara. His boss was killed and he killed himself at a prison.

Mr. Anji Yukyuzan
A priest fighter He fought against Mr. Sanosuke Sagara. Formerly he taught his arts called "Futae No Kiwami" but he was defeated by his own art. He served his sentence in Hokkaido.
Mr. Usui Uonuma
A blind swordsman He fought against Assistant Police Inspector Hajime Saitou. He was killed by Saitou. Saitou used a swords art "Gatotsu Type Zero."

Iwanbou
A poor sumo wrestler He fought against four Oniwaban-shu fighters under Okina Nenji Kashiwazaki. He did not fight and escaped. His true character is a ninja fighter called "Gein" under Mr. Enishi Yukishiro. He fought against Kenshin's team. Then he made three dolls. Two were Iwanbous. The other was a figure doll of Kaoru. Once he was defeated by Kenshin. But he put the figure doll "Kaoru." Enishi Yukishiro killed the life-size doll. Kenshin did not know the true character of the doll. Kenshin regarded the dead doll as Kaoru. Kenshin went mad. On the other hand, Gein left the Enishi team and fought against Aoshi. Aoshi killed Gein.

Fuji
"Hagun (Otsu)"
A giant swordsman He was saved by Old Saiduchi. Fuji and Old Saiduchi had fought together. Fuji fought against Mr. Seijurou Hiko, Kenshin's teacher. He was defeated. He went to Hokkaido to be a "Tondenhei" soldier.

Old Saiduchi
"Hagun (Kou)" A scholar. He fainted at the battle between Fuji and Seijurou Hiko. Thereafter he got a secret diplomat.

Mr. Kamatari Honjou
A male prostitute fighter
A scythe user "She" loved Makoto Shishio but Shishio did not loved "her." "She" fought against Ms Kaoru Kamiya and Ms Misao Makimachi. You know Kaoru loves Kenshin and Misao loved Mr. Aoshi Shinomori. "She" defeated Misao but Kaoru defeated "her." Kaoru used a sword art of "Kamiya Kasshin Ryu" method called "Tsuka No Gedan Hiza Hishigi." "She" was depressed hearing Shishio's death. But Cho loved "her" and cheered "her." "She" would be an international student as a spy of the Meiji Government.

Mr. Cho Sawagejou
A sword collector He fought against Kenshin and was defeated. He got a secret policeman under Assistant Police Inspector Hajime Saitou.

Mr. Henya Kariha
A flying bomber He fought against Yahiko Myoujin and was defeated. He got an army soldier for combat patrols.

I like Kenshin, Eva, American Comics, Shinsen-gumi Company, Figures and Samurai Shodown as well as mathematics.
Yesterday I wrote on Samurai Shodown. I am playing Samurai Shodown RPG at present. My main character is Nakoruru. Assistant character is Rimururu and Haoumaru. Nakoruru became a strong fighter (Japanese: Tsuwamono) at level 20. She is the strongest of the three. Rimururu also became strong. She is at level 19. They got the top secret sword arts among many secret arts. Thereafter they sailed for Hokkaido. They went to Kamui-Kotan village. Nakoruru came back home. Her grandfather said to her, "You have travelled with Rimururu as I expected." What does it mean?
If she is a main character, she must travel with Rimururu.
They stay at Ise, Mie Prefecture. They are training at present. They are still very rich. Nakoruru met a dolphin, fought a monster and won against it. They are too rich to be defeated.
At video-game type Magic Knight Rayearth, if Ms Umi Ryuzaki learns a magic called "Ice Arrow," the fighting party can easily earn money. But she can get the magic at the latter half of the game. Moreover the game has the original comics. If a player loves the original, one must let Ms Hikaru Shidou fight against Rafaga by herself without any magics. (I often did so. But Ms Fu Hououji can win against him with her magics easily.)
On the other hand, at Samurai Shodown RPG, if the fighting party is enough strong to defeat medium level monsters, the party can always earn much money at fighting fields. Such a rich party can buy many kinds of expensive drugs and can utilize them to win against monsters easily.

If you go to Ise by Kintetsu Limited Express, you may meet the three. You will find the three incredibly rich.
