Hideaki Anno's New Work is"Kareshi Kanojo No Jijou" which is broadcast by TV-Tokyo since October 1998.

On 10/02/1998, TV-Tokyo started Hideaki Anno's New Anime "Kareshi Kanojo No Jijou" at last. A lot of anime fans in Japan have been looking forward to seeing it for a long time. These two years Hideaki Anno made real performance films rather than anime.
This work is his new age anime which is different from his former works.


. 45. "Towa no Tentei (Eternal Plot)"

The Act 16.0 was broadcast on 01/15/99 in Tokyo and Osaka. The opening anime was not broadcast.
Yukino's narration started.
Whom do you recall when you are asked whom you like?

Father Hiroyuki appeared. When he saw his daughter Yukino, he said, "I love you."
That day Miyazawa Family went to their grandfather's. They got in JR yellow train. The house was near Miyazawa's. Therefore the yellow train was JR Nanbu Line. (Yellow trains are used on JR Nanbu Line and JR Chou-Soubu Lines. But Chuou-Soubu Lines are rather distant.)
The grandfather is Miyako's father.
It is said Yukino resembles her mother. It is said Father Hiroyuki knew Mother Miyako in their childhood. In the train, Miyako remembered her childhood. She looked pale. (Stuff painted her face with blue color.)

Father Hiroyuki would often get into dangerous mischief. Kano and Tsuki said, "He is still a child."
When Miyako was the first grade student of senior high school, Hiroyuki fell in love with her. Therefore he began to awake to Yukino because she is the first grade.
The five sat down at one long sheet. But when the others heard him, Kano and Tsukino went to the right side and Miyako and Yukino went to the left side. Hiroyuki and Pero-pero stayed behind at the center.

The five arrived at grandfather's. The grandfather (Mr. Kohashi, CV = Tomomichi Nishimura) invited four women. But he kept out Hiroyuki.
20-year-old Hiroyuki was married with 18-year-old Miyako. Then he was punched by the grandfather. They have not got along with each other yet.
Kano wore a T-shirt with a printed letter "Namako (sea cucumber)." Tsukino wore a T-shirt with a preinted letter "Hitode (starfish)."

Grandfather said to the three girls, "You all grew up to be beautiful. You look like three maid-servant dolls diplayed on the Girl's Festival day." The three replied, "?"
But he said to the three, "My brave granddaughters thrive under that father who does not get a head. I am much impressed to cry out." Hiroyuki got angry and said, "Give me a rest! Don't dote on your daughters."
Greandfather said, "I must dote on my daughters because you're miserably paid."
They quarreled with each other.
The next atomic bomb exploded.

"Fin" was shown. Next moment, "Shut up, a boy! A new program starts." was shown.

They still quarreled with each other.
Grandfather said, "I dare you to overcome me the aged!"
On the other hand, Miyako showed their children photographs in her childhood. Miyako is still beautiful. Moreover she was very beautiful in her childhood.
Grandfather said, "Yukino-chan resembles Miyako. Please don't be seduced by a bad man."
Yukino said, "I have a boyfriend. This is he."
Yukino showed Arima's photograph.
Grandfather said, "He is a smart boy."

Miyako and Hiroyuki went out to shopping. When Hiroyuki saw a setting sun, he remembered his own childhood. Then he lived with his grandfather (CV = Yonehiko Kitagawa).
Motomu Kiyokawa's narration started.

A monochromatic anime started.
Father was 6 year old (CV = Junko Noda). His nickname was "Petit Devil."
His mischief list

1. to destroy things
2. to overcome primary school pupils
3. to steal Saint Bernard and to ride it on
4. to wrestle with a cat

One day he met a little girl, Miyako. He played gang. She was 4 years old. She played a hostage. then she began to cry out. They played hide-and-seek. On a roof, the two are left. He said to her, "i don't have my parents." She said, "I do not have my mother."

In his home, he was a child who nestled up to its grandfather. Time went away calmly. He began not to nestle up. Five years later, Hiroyuki entered a junior high school. Then Miyako was a fifth grade pupil of primary school.
Hiroyuki said, "Am I handsome?"
Miyako replied, "You looks strange."
For a while, they did not meet each other.
Two years later, Hiroyuki was a third grade student. On the entrance ceremony day, he was not interested in young girls. He happened to collide with Miyako on a passage. It was Miyako that he first fell in love with.

On the black background, a letter "Act 16¹/₂" is shown.

Then Hiroyuki thought his grandfather diminished. Hiroyuki entered Kawakita senior high school. It was a high level school.
Miyako said, "You studied hard."
Hiroyuki said, "Come to my school unless you have any other favorite school."
Thereafter Hiroyuki was a third grade student. Miyako entered the same high school. Hiroyuki wanted to get a position.
The grandfather felt the process of aging. He began to be tender. Hiroyuki wanted to live for himself.
Thereafter the grandfather suffered from a disease. He was dead while he slept.
Monochromatic photographs of smokestacks of factories and transformer substations.
The funeral was held. Miyako helped him. She waited for him outside the gate. In the midnight, wind blew. Hiroyuki began to cry. He said, "I could not leave anything to my grandfather."
Then Hiroyuki and Miyako embraced each other. Miyako also cried out.
Miyako said, "Can I take his place?"

The two decided to be married when Miyako was graduated from the high school. Since the next year, the sisters were born in three successive years. They had a happy home.
Hiroyuki thought, "It is glad for you to be born only. I understand my father's thought now."
The thought will come down to our children.
The two said, "Love will spread."

The two passed in front of a large library. Hiroyuki's old house was destroyed and was sold. On the site of the house, the large library was built.
When the two went back to their grandfather's. Miyako said to her fahter, "Let's live with us. Please do not be unreasonable."
Hiroyuki said, "I'm willing to change your diapers."
Of course the grandfather got angry and quarreled with Hiroyuki.
(But in Japan, most of the young do not want to care the aged. Hiroyuki is very kind.)

The ending anime was made as a real performance film of a sleeping fat cat. The theme music did not include vocals.
Preview was made as a digest anime.
