Tenchi Muyo is an action/comedy based around Tenchi Masaki, a high school student. He accidently releases a "demon" (Ryoko) from his grandfather's shrine in the mountain. After Ryoko realizes who Tenchi really is, she begins to play or terrorize Tenchi, depending on how you look at it. Luckily, Tenchi has a few tricks up his sleeves, if he can just figure them out that is. To make matters worse, Ryoko is being hunted by the crown princess of Jurai, Aeka. Sasami, Aeka's little sister, barges in and joins in the fun, along with Washu, Ryoko's "mom". The party rounds out when the Galaxy Police sends Mihoshi to make sure nothing out of the ordinary is happening on Earth.
