Skiing has to be one of the best winter sports
that I can think of. Yes, it is a bit on the expensive side, but it's worth
the sheer exhilaration of 'flying' down those snow-covered slopes. What
an undeniable sensation! Here are some pictures I pulled from a collection
just to get you ski enthusiasts pumped for the upcoming season. Everybody
pray for snow!!!I would classify myself as an intermediate skier. However, I do like to ski on slopes that are a little more difficult than I'm used to. Hey, how else am I going to get better (or get hurt). I tend to ski Heavenly a lot. Squaw's another place I like to ski.
Even
though the snow around the Lake Tahoe area seldom gets this powdery, we
do get some pretty nice stuff from time to time. The last two seasons,
for example, were very good to us skiers. My friends and I ski pretty much
when we have time (and money). For most of us money seems to be our rate
limiting step (sorry, it's the biochem in me), but more and more, time
seems to be another commodity. Still, I try to make it up there around
10 times a year and ski like there's no tomorrow.
